I thought now was a good time for me to tell you a little bit about me:

I’m Thea! I’m originally from County Durham in the North East, but I’ve been living in Manchester for just over 3 years now🏡

I have just graduated BIMM Manchester with a 2:1 in my BA Hons in Professional Musicianship: Vocals 🎤

Before moving to Manchester I studied Popular Music at College and I’ve been playing the piano since I was 6 years old 🎹

Although I studied Classical Piano and Music Theory, I love popular music and I am in a New Wave Rock band called Electric Screams⚡️

I’ve always wanted to be a teacher and I’m loving the support from you all since I started this page 🥰

Our Music Theory lessons start from the basics, all the way to a university level🎶

Starting off with major scales, using different rhythms, how to write cohesive music and basic chords, you’ll be able to have a better understand of what actually makes music sound so good🎼

The best thing about the Music Theory lessons is that you don’t need an instrument to take part! However we can sometimes use instruments to go through examples if students want to🎹

Good afternoon everyone!

As we’re about to go into bank holiday weekend I just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who’s liked the page so far and has helped to get over 100 likes! I’m very grateful for all of the support🤩

As said previously, our lessons are just via zoom until the pandemic starts to calm down. This is for students and my own safety.

Happy Saturday everyone!🎶

Just wanted to post about the way in which I conduct the zoom lessons.

For those of you who are interested in piano/ keyboard lessons, we will be using the “share screen” section of zoom where we can look at sheet music together.
I also have a we**am which is set up above my keyboard so that students can see how to play the piece/ song.This will allow our lessons to be as close to face-to-face as possible whilst we are still in lockdown. 🎹

For music theory lessons, we will be using the “share screen” to show the PowerPoint in which the lessons content will be in. 🎼

For singing lessons, we will use the “share screen” to also look at sheet music and also to look online and videos of other singers so that we can observe different techniques.🎤

I also want to take the opportunity to say that I will continue to teach via zoom for any students who aren’t based in Manchester, so that we can continue lessons post lockdown😁
