St Joseph's RC Primary School Reddish

3RH had such a lovely afternoon in St Joseph’s Church garden. We explored the different plants, fruits and vegetables growing there, and even got to pick and taste some delicious strawberries!

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Mrs Kate Rackham, our wonderful teacher who passed away. She lives with us everyday at St Joseph’s. We miss you Kate and you continue to inspire us with your kindness, strength and determination. May you rest always in eternal peace 🙏

When we thought we couldn’t burst with pride anymore, the Y5 children raise a huge £1,274 for Fighting to be Heard Foundation 🤍🖤
in remembrance of our wonderful teacher Mrs Rackham. The colour run symbolised the strength, joy and brightness Mrs Rackham showed us all. 🖤🤍

Well what a fantastic start to the week for the beginning of the penny wars PTA event. The children have enjoyed sabotaging the other class, some classes even need their jars emptying! 1, 2, 3, 4 St Joseph's declare a penny war!

Thank you to PC Taylor who came in to give a very insightful career talk with year 5&6 this afternoon, the children gained an incredible amount from the talk not only from a career perspective but also how to be good citizens 👮 🚨 🚓🚔

Year 6 celebrated by drawing a Birds Eye view of our school and labelling where we can find bee’s 🐝 and looking at where we can make improvements to help them! 🌺

Year 2 have been celebrating Word Bee Day, we watched a video which told us all about the importance of bees and how they help us! Then we designed a poster all about how we could save the bees and the amazing things they do for us. 🐝
