Huge thank you to everyone who donated to the recent food collection for the local food bank. It was taken to our children's centre today and will be collected by the Trussell Trust and distributed to families in need locally. Thank you for helping make a difference!

We've had a busy afternoon in our Levenshulme pre school today! The children have been creating beautiful Christmas trees using a variety of materials on our natural weave boards, the results are wonderfully festive! Continuing the festive theme we have prepared our very own 'pop up winter garden'. The children took it in turns to water the compost blocks, measuring the amount and using our steady hand skills to pour. Finally we've been using our new wooden garden scene to construct plants and flower pots! Much fun had by all!

Daisy Bank Pre school have been for a walk today to post a special invitation to Father Christmas for our party tomorrow!
Before we went the children made their very own map so we didn't get lost and spoke about all things we would see on the way.
A lovely morning enjoyed by all.

This morning our Daisy Bank pre school went for a short walk around our local area. We looked for signs which gave us important information such as road names, speed limits and for sale signs.
We also visited the local church to admire the mosaic on the building and the stained glass windows. When we got back to nursery we created our own stained glass windows with oil pastels which we cut out using our scissor skills before sticking onto black card. The results are fabulous!

After our trip to the bakery last week, we've made our own biscuits today. What flour filled fun!

Levenshulme pre school had a nice walk to our local bakery this morning, where we enjoyed a delicious croissant in the sunshine. Fellow customers commented on how well mannered and behaved our children were. What a lovely way to spend a Friday morning ๐Ÿ˜€

Fabulous first day of the new term in our Levenshulme pre school. Lots of team work as we built the train track and exploratory play - using magnifying glasses to examine features of various objects. The children have enjoyed playing with their new resources and the revamped room. Some wonderful meals cooked up in the kitchen too! What a great start to the new academic year.

Today the children in Pre-School at Daisy Bank were all playing on the carpet with the cars. After dinner all the children were very excited about the cars and returned to the construction area and continued to play. We then decided to go on a learning walk to see all the different vehicles on the road. We made sure that we held hands with our partners. As we were walking the children were talking about the different things they could see. we saw different coloured cars, motorbikes, and a big colourful bus. We then reached the traffic lights, the children made sure it was red because we could not cross till the green man appeared. The children also noticed the different signs, we spoke about what the sign said. We learnt about speed limits and learnt a new number, which was 20. We then collected some beautiful flowers and made our way back to nursery.
