It’s NOT just play dough…
It’s one of the easiest ways to support your child’s development through play. ⭐
Play dough is one of the most effective sensory materials in early childhood because it is open-ended, adaptable for all ages, and deeply engaging. Even better, it can be made easily at home.
👉 Simple No-Cook Play Dough Recipe
• 1 cup flour
• ½ cup salt
• 1 tbsp oil
• ½ cup warm water (add gradually)
• Optional: food colouring or scent
Mix until a soft dough forms. Adjust with flour or water as needed.
Play dough may look simple, but the learning behind it is anything but.

Spooky Halloween fun 🎃
We have had so much fun learning and exploring through so many Halloween themed activities 👻
The children showed so much interest and enthusiasm creating their very own spooky bubbling potion, engaging all of their senses and creativity. We used pinchers and pipettes to really encourage our fine motor skills. The children even decided to drop the pumpkins into the potion and watched how it made a big splash 🌊
We used warm water with pipettes as well as wooden spoons to try and break the spooky spiders free from being trapped in the ice 🧊🕷️ We spoke about how the ice felt, what might make the ice melt faster, e.g. putting warm water onto it, and observing what happened when we did this. We also discussed the colours we could see and what we could do next.

A colourful, bubbly tuff tray activity 🫧
We had so much fun mixing lots of different colours into the bubbles and watched how these colours changed. We used pipettes, jugs, bowls and spoons to encourage the children’s fine motor skill development with lots of pouring, squeezing and scooping ☺️🫧

Happy Valentine’s Day 🥰❤️
The children have enjoyed a ‘love potion’ making activity and lots of other exciting crafts and tuff trays.
The children also enjoyed using hammers, spray bottles and pipettes to break down a children’s bath bomb, watching it fizzle and change colour 🥰

Chinese New Year 2025 🧧
The children enjoyed exploring a variety of engaging activities to celebrate Chinese new year ☺️ The intent of these activities was to introduce the children to the traditions and significance of Chinese new year, as well as enhancing their understanding of different cultures through exciting activities!
The children had lots of opportunities to develop their fine motor skills using plastic tweezers, which also promotes our hand-eye coordination.
Our discussions surrounding cultural diversity also promoted our communication and language development ☺️
