Another packed-out FREE Barber Workshop — bringing local barbers, learners and people new to the industry together to learn, connect and improve.

No qualifications needed. No experience required. Just a room full of people who want to get better at barbering.

Learn from SFX Makeup & Prosthetics educator Samantha Helen , a highly skilled makeup artist with more than 12 years of industry experience across special effects, prosthetics and beauty makeup.

Sam’s impressive career includes work with Coca-Cola, Superdrug, Rolls-Royce, ITV, BBC, Manchester City, Co-op Live and MTV. She has also launched her own international makeup brand and founded the Essential Artist Agency.

During this practical masterclass, Samantha will share professional techniques, product knowledge and insider tips to help you create striking Halloween looks, tailor your services for seasonal appointments and attract more clients.

Every £40 ticket includes a FREE goodie bag containing a body brush and stencil sponges.

There’s more to starting out in TV & film makeup than makeup skills. 🎬

Our Trainee Pathways Course, delivered by Steph Elkins, covers the essential industry knowledge every trainee needs, from set etiquette and makeup room expectations to callsheets, continuity, approaching designers and positioning your CV.

It’s about understanding what’s expected of you, what sets you apart, and how to become someone people want to work with again.

Our trainee Kelly Moorehouse has also been building her skills through other Dilla courses and has already started making valuable industry connections along the way.

Such a brilliant day in our gorgeous new academy space, with our learners getting hands-on with the amazing Jo Anthony Jo Anthony , learning authentic period sets and techniques for TV & Film. 🎬

This Saturday we’re back for Day 2, focusing on Marcel waving, finger waves and more vintage techniques. 🌊
