This September, Forage Box is hosting something truly special β and there are only 12 places available.
Join me, Gav Ireland, and exceptional wild food chef Alex for an immersive weekend in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. Two nights, three days, and more wild food than you've ever seen in one place.
You'll forage with me across the stunning local landscape, discovering what's growing, what's edible, and how to use it β then hand everything over to Alex, who'll transform your finds into food that will genuinely stop you in your tracks.
We're talking elderberry cured trout, stuffed pheasant with bramble beet and smoked whiskey jus, crab linguine coastal style, wild harissa venison kebab, and a Saturday night dessert finished with an ember straight from the fire.

This Friday in the Lake District, we're running something genuinely special β a full day of wild butchery, foraging and cooking at Graythwaite Adventure by Windermere.
You'll learn to butcher big game properly, head out to forage for wild ingredients to go alongside it, then cook and eat the whole lot together. Hands-on, outdoors, and genuinely unforgettable.

A 2-hour session with a foraging expert, including ID work, finding and tasting wild ingredients, and a walk at Stenson Canal
This course is designed to get you as involved as possible - this includes identifying, picking and tasting a range of wild species that will be found on the day. There will also be samples of wild food for everyone to get stuck into!
The focus with all of our workshops is on the 4 'F's of Foraging: Fungi, Fruit, Flowers and Foliage . We aim for an array of these elements on every session we run (weather and season permitting!)

Quick announcement: as of 1st January 2026, I will no longer be the owner of Forage Box. The last 5 1/2 years Iβve been wonderful, but it was time for me to handover to wonderful Gavin of Found Food UK(). Gavin is an excellent human and will no doubt to take Forage Box to new heights.
For those of you with vouchers or plans to join us in the future, nothing should change with the status of your vouchers and tickets, and in fact I suspect more workshops will be available across the country so please continue to support this small business and getting involved with the wonderful world of foraging.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Forage Box over the last half a decade or so. It means the world that Iβve been able to do this for a living and you lovely folk allowed that to happen.
