Huge thanks to Manchester City Council for submitting the entry on behalf of our amazing partners β€” Transport for Greater Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, Cycling UK, British Cycling, and Bee Pedal Ready, representing cycling communities across the city.

And more celebrations β€” TfGM also won Best Innovation in Transport Decarbonisation, and Lily Ramsey was Highly Commended in the Young Professional category. πŸ‘

Lights Up is back for a third year πŸ’‘πŸš²

When the clocks go back, we lose too many women and girls from cycling dark routes, safety worries, no visible night-time activity.

Lights Up is our answer: Bee Pedal Ready & Station South, bring a female-focused, lit, marshalled winter ride to keep women and girls riding through the darker months. The ride is open to everyone who wants safer, more visible night-time cycling in Greater Manchester.

✨ Bling Up Yer Bikes
✨ Let’s Reclaim the Night on wheels

This year we finish at Victoria Baths with the aAh! Magazine X Lights Up Exhibition – powerful stories, artwork and photography about women’s cycling, visibility and feeling safe after dark. 🎨
