Bringing Back The High Street

I'm not normally one for provoking regional rivalry but I just thought that I'd point out that the North West are absolutely killing it in our survey of independent businesses with as many responses as the next three most active regions combined! Yesterday was a great day. We conducted our first interview with representatives of a business improvement district in the South West of England. We have now been able to consult every region in the U.K. except the East of England. If you happen to know someone in the East, who might be able to help us. Please get in touch.

One of the first areas that we studied was Sunderland, and there is a great deal of innovative thinking happening there. From redeveloping the city centre, to putting on events and developing a new "village" for creative businesses. Check out their story below...
