Earlier this week you met Listening Len and See it Sam.
Len hears the sounds in words that we speak and Sam sees the spellings for the those sounds every week.
Today meet the 3 musketeers that are Segmenting Seb, Building Bill and Blending Ben.
Seb chops up the sounds that can be heard and Bill builds the spellings to make the word.
Ben simply puts them all back together again.
Next we will introduce you to the reading and writing twins Rex and Ron that get very important jobs done. Supported by the 3 musketeers, Sam and Len... they make it easy to pick up a book and a pen!
Over 100 people had the sneak peek this week and they all absolutely loved the characters, the lessons, the consistency, phonics teaching made simple and easy for teachers and children and the playful, fun and physical nature of this unique and exceptional resource. They can’t wait to implement it in their school!
Tag yourself if you met the other friends on Tuesday and Thursday this week and if you didn’t get chance, come and join us on Tuesday 1st September at 6.30 for an hour! You won’t regret it!

Inspired by Greg Bottrill and his message centre I have developed sets of secret messages or symbols which encourage pre-writing skills when copied or communication when used on their own as a message. Each symbol can mean anything a child wants it to be.
What are writing readiness (pre-writing) skills?
Pre-writing skills are the fundamental skills children need to develop before they are able to write. These skills contribute to the child’s ability to hold and use a pencil, and the ability to draw, write, copy, and colour. A major component of pre-writing skills are the pre-writing shapes. These are the pencil strokes that most letters, numbers and early drawings are comprised of. They are typically mastered in sequential order, and to an age specific level. These strokes include the following strokes: |, —, O, +, /, square, \, X, and Δ
