Awaken your body’s wisdom through bellydance.💫

21/10/2025

Bodymind Bellydance presents ‘Reclaim Your Sensuality’: a sacred workshop space for women to explore sensuality through movement, breath, and presence. Together, we’ll gently unpack and release shame and fear around sensual expression and reclaim the simple pleasure of being in our bodies.
Through somatic bellydance, breathwork, meditation, journaling, singing, and embodiment rituals, we’ll explore what sensuality feels like when it’s led by you… not by performance or external expectation.
No dance experience is needed. This isn’t about perfecting choreography, it’s about reconnecting to your own rhythm, your own pace, your own body’s wisdom.

In this workshop we will:
•Explore bellydance as a healing and grounding somatic practice
•Use breath and movement to soften tension and awaken inner aliveness
•Sip nourishing herbal tea in gentle, guided meditation
•Reflect on our personal relationships with sensuality through journalling
•Sing and sound to express our voices and clear stuck energy
•Engage in sensual embodiment rituals to honor our bodies with presence

Please bring with you:
•A journal and pen
•A bottle of water
•A blanket for comfort

This is a space for softness, curiosity, and reconnection. All women are welcome.
Advance registration required. Limited spots available. Visit and .chester websites for tickets.

My heart has felt so heavy recently that there’s been moments where I’ve thought “what’s the point?” I’ve looked at the suffering, the fear, the pain in the world and within my own mind and I’ve felt helpless, hopeless. “What difference am I going to make to this s**t show?” The darkness has made me lose sight of the light at times. And so I’ve had to really reflect on the tools I’ve learnt this year and practise what I preach. I’ve sat with the heaviness instead of running from it. I’ve let myself sob because my body needs to release. And when I’ve started to spiral I’ve returned to my practise to regulate my nervous system. To remind myself that the stories told by the darkest parts of my mind are not always the truth. And whilst the world might feel really dark at the moment, there is still always light—actively seek it out and then share it with others when you find it. Making a small difference can have a ripple effect bigger than you know. Sending you love from my heavy heart🤍💫

Recently I had one of those days where I was really emotional for no apparent reason. I cried multiple times throughout the day even though nothing upsetting had happened. In the past, I would have felt shame for this and gone down an over-analytical spiral, wondering “what’s wrong with me???”, “how do I stop feeling this way???”… This would often escalate into panic attacks because I would become so stressed and hyperfocused on figuring out WHY I was feeling emotional and would then become consumed by fear of the emotions when I couldn’t find the solution to ‘fix’ myself.

But I’ve learnt that the body can hold onto emotion, even when there’s no conscious logical explanation for it. I’ve realised that I’m not a problem to be solved and that I was never broken—my nervous system was just disregulated and needed safety in order to feel what was there.

When we observe our emotions without judgement and teach our nervous system’s that it is safe to feel, then we can allow our emotions to move through us and be released. The physical sensations that come with intense emotions can be difficult to face, but if we can soften into them and acknowledge that it’s the body’s way of trying to keep us safe, then we can move out of fear and into self-compassion.

It is possible to create safety in your body. The first step is realising that you don’t need to ‘fix’ yourself, as you were never broken 🤍
