🌟 Learning & Growing in Pre-School 🌟
Our Pre-School children are busy developing the skills, confidence and independence they need to become enthusiastic, capable learners and prepare for their transition to school. 🎒✨
Throughout the day, children are encouraged to take responsibility, make choices and have a go for themselves. From hanging up their coats and bags and self-registering, to selecting their own resources, serving snacks and tidying away after play, there are so many opportunities to build independence and important life skills. 💛
But the learning doesn't stop there! Every day our children are developing across all areas of the EYFS through purposeful play and exciting experiences:
🔢 Mathematics – counting, recognising numbers, exploring shapes, patterns, size and measure and solving problems through play.
📚 Communication & Language and Literacy – enjoying stories, developing vocabulary, having conversations, recognising sounds and beginning to develop early reading and writing skills.
🌎 Understanding the World – exploring nature, investigating how things work and learning about their community and the wider world.
🎨 Expressive Arts & Design – using their imagination through art, music, role play and creative activities.
🏃 Physical Development – strengthening both gross and fine motor skills, developing coordination and building the hand strength needed for early writing.
💛 Personal, Social & Emotional Development – learning to manage emotions, build friendships, make choices, solve problems and develop a strong sense of belonging.
We love seeing the pride on our children's faces as they master new skills, challenge themselves and discover just how much they can do. ⭐
