When SATs are over, some of my students leave me. 😢
But some are having a break and coming back for more in September! 🥳

It's always nice to receive cards and gifts but this can be a tricky time of year for tutors. With students leaving, it means I have some availability right now and I'm building groups for September.

I also have a Year 5 maths group starting this Thursday at 4pm. If you'd like your child to join, please get in touch.

Good morning,

My name is Mark and I am an experienced teacher and tutor. I was a teacher and assistant headteacher at St Philip’s in Atherton for 15 years and I’ve worked at a number of other schools including St Thomas Chequerbent and St Bede’s in Bolton.

I offer 1:1 and online group tuition in maths for children between Year 5 and Year 9. My main aims are to boost confidence, identify and fill gaps in learning, improve arithmetic skills and help children tackle trickier problem solving and reasoning questions.

As a tutor, it's really important to continue training, learning and developing. Safeguarding is an absolute priority and I have just updated my own training with the The Tutors’ Association.

I love working 1:1 with my students but there is a lot of evidence to suggest that group tuition can be just as or even more effective! Maths online group tuition for Y5, Y6 and Y7 coming soon!
