We work closely with Local Authorities and Schools, offering after school Maths Clubs and one-2-one tuition across Manchester and Stockport.

The Roles:

1 x English tutor (5 hours)
1 x Maths and Science tutor (5 hours)

The successful candidates will join a sought-after tuition team at AWF, currently comprising 3 tutors. You will be delivering 1:1 tuition at schools, or at the children's homes throughout the week.
This would require you to plan lessons, take attendance and keep clear, concise notes on the pupil's progression. At key points in the year, you will also be writing short but detailed reports on this progression, with some basic recommendations for the parents/guardians or pastoral care managers for the student's future developments.

Other Responsibilities
- Provide individualised tutoring sessions in Mathematics & Science subjects/English to students.
- Develop customised lesson plans based on students' needs and curriculum requirements.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment to enhance students' understanding and confidence.
- Assess and track students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Identify and address students' challenges in a proactive and effective manner.
- Collaborate with other tutors in the business to share best practices and resources.

Skills and Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or any Science subjects (for Maths & Science role), or English degree
- Patience and enthusiasm for helping students who are typically left behind succeed academically.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have (or be working towards) a clean driving licence, with access to transport
