🌞🌟 Celebrating Ashley! 🌟🌞

How amazing is this… Ashley has been part of the Sunbeams family for an incredible 12 YEARS! 🥰🎉

12 years of dedication, care, hard work and so many special memories. We really are so lucky to have Ashley as part of our team, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she does for us and the children every single day.

Ashley is such a valued member of our team and always goes above and beyond. She also takes on the important role of our Staff Wellbeing Representative, helping to support our team and making sure our staff wellbeing is always kept in mind. 💕

Thank you, Ashley, for everything you have given to Sunbeams over the last 12 years. We truly appreciate you and all that you do!

🌞 Autumn is here! 🌞

Today our preschool children have enjoyed making marks with pinecones, using a variety of different movements to create their own patterns. We spoke about the textures of the autumn leaves and pinecones, also racing our pinecones down the ramps and creating our own autumnal artwork!

🌞 Risky Play & Balance in our Toddler Room! 🌞

Today, our Toddler Room have been exploring balance, confidence and assessing risk!

Our team created a balance beam, and we loved watching the children decide for themselves whether they needed an adult’s hand to support them. As their confidence grew, we saw them needing less and less support!

The children then extended their own play, finding other objects around the room to balance on and stopping to check whether they were safe and wobbly before having a go.

🌞 Risky play helps children build confidence, independence, coordination and problem-solving skills, while learning to assess and manage risks for themselves.

🌞 Warm & Fuzzy Employee Appreciation Day! 🌞

Today we celebrated our fantastic team and all the hard work, care and dedication they bring to our nursery every single day! ✨

Management treated everyone to a Happy Meal for lunch 🍔🍟 and we took some time to share a little kindness with one another.

Everyone wrote an anonymous thank-you message for a colleague, sharing kind words and appreciation for the support, teamwork and hard work we see every day. 🥰

It was lovely to take a moment to recognise the amazing people behind everything we do. Every helping hand, smile, idea and moment of care makes a difference to our children, families and nursery. ❤️

📚🐻 IT’S TODAY! National Read a Book Day! 🐻📚

Today we’re celebrating the magic of stories, and showing that books can take children on incredible adventures! 🌿✨

Our children have been bringing ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ to life in the garden, exploring sensory tough trays inspired by each part of the story. From splashing through the river to squelching through the mud, our children can jump in, explore and experience the story for themselves! 🌱

Listen to our practitioner emphasising words such as “splash” and “splosh”, helping the children connect language with what they can see, hear and feel.

Stories can create adventures, spark imagination and make learning unforgettable.

So today, grab a book, get cosy, get creative and bring a story to life together! ❤️
