While I was updating my website I came across this video. A great memory thanks to the Foden's Band, at RNCM Festival of Brass 2017 with James Gourlay Conductor and Tuba Soloist!

The work, From a Sepia Photograph, was composed by Bramwell Tovey for the winner (me ๐Ÿ˜‰) of the prestigious Open Class of the Foden's Solo Competition.

It was inspired by the image of charred solo of 'Solveig's Song' found in ashes of the fire that destroyed Foden's bandroom in 2016 โ€” one that would have been played by the likes of the great Edwin Firth over 100 years ago.

So happy to announce a new recording of this fantastic Cornet Concerto by Edward Gregson. One of my favorites for the cornet repertoire!

It was a dream to record this once after I played this first at my master recital a few years ago. I'm very grateful to Jannes Jacobs and Rockstar Recordings! to have the opportunity to use their materials and expertise, thanks to Karine Calomme for the wonderful piano accompaniment as well! ๐ŸŽน

A few weeks ago this wonderful quartet with Anne-Sophie Leveugle, Tim De Maeseneer, Jonas Violet and myself had the pleasure to perform at the Dutch Open Brass Band Championships. One of the pieces on the program was this Jewel(s) from Eric Ball! ๐Ÿ’Ž
