We’re pleased to announce that New Moston is introducing a new, more efficient system for reporting your child’s absence due to illness, called Studybugs.
If you haven’t already, please get the free Studybugs app, or register on the Studybugs website, and use it to tell us whenever your child’s ill and unable to attend school.
Get the app or register now (https://studybugs.com/about/parents)
If you are struggling with downloading and / or registering the app, please report any absence via [email protected] or the usual school phone number.
Mr Kinch and the attendance team will be available after school during pupil progress evening tonight to support registration and to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you ☺️
Pupil progress evening is tomorrow night 👩🏻🏫👨🏻🏫🧑🏼🏫

If you’ve not booked your appointment please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible for a slot 👍🏻

Great job 👏🏼
We are so lucky at New Moston that such a large majority of our families are so supportive. I would like to take this time to thank these families for this.
Unfortunately, a couple of incidents have been reported to me recently of concern.
- Parent/carers disagreeing on school premises and, more importantly, having these disagreements in front of children.
- The use of swearing and derogatory language on school grounds. We work extremely hard with our children to teach them that swearing is unacceptable in school and rely on the support of all of their safe adults being positive role models with this
- Families bringing dogs onto the playground. Dogs are not permitted on school grounds for health and safety reasons. Additionally, we have several children who are scared of unfamiliar dogs and this is having a negative effect on them.
I would like to remind you that failure to comply with these rules and policies may result in further action being taken to safeguard our children and families and to ensure that our school remains a safe place for all.
Further information can be found below in our anti-social behaviour policy.

Thank you in advance for understanding these concerns,
Miss Maynard

Science 🧬
-
This half term in Science Y1 and 2 have been exploring body parts and learning about what animals, including humans, need to survive and be healthy 🙂
-
We had a very willing helper 🤣👍🏻
This week, we traced the outline of a child and identified and named the fundamental body parts associated with each of the senses.
The children did a fantastic job - well done!
