At Kalamna, we realised early on that the typed letters our students saw in flashcards and books didn’t match up with the script they were learning to write causing confusion and frustration.
We've since created our own simplified script which we use across all our learning resources 🔥

السنة دي احتفلنا بيوم المرأة العالمي، واتعلمنا عن هدى الشعراوي وتأثيرها على حياة كل بنت مصرية وعربية. قرأنا قصتها من كتاب بنت مصرية وبعدين كل طالب كتب صفات مميزة لمرأة في حياته. كلهم اختاروا أمهاتهم.🩷💙🤍

HOW do we teach Arabic to students after they’ve learned basic reading and writing skills?
Through Thematic learning which is based on organising the curriculum around a theme or a rich and engaging topic which allows them to practise their reading and writing skills while learning about the world around them Themes we’ve explored include Geography, Travel, Sports, Food and History.
