🤓Does this sound familiar to you? This challenge is a lot more common than you think!

This challenge is more common than you think!

At Kalamna, we realised early on that the typed letters our students saw in flashcards and books didn’t match up with the script they were learning to write causing confusion and frustration.

We've since created our own simplified script which we use across all our learning resources 🔥

HOW do we teach Arabic to students after they’ve learned basic reading and writing skills?

Through Thematic learning which is based on organising the curriculum around a theme or a rich and engaging topic which allows them to practise their reading and writing skills while learning about the world around them Themes we’ve explored include Geography, Travel, Sports, Food and History.

WHY do we use Thematic learning?

Thematic learning connects classroom learning to the real world and ensures that learning is both fun and meaningful. It fosters deeper understanding, critical thinking, and real-world application by integrating knowledge across disciplines and promoting a lifelong love of discovery and learning.

Stay tuned for our next posts to see examples of this used in our class! 🥰🥰
