It was a huge decision to choose the right Phonic programme for our School, after a lot of research we decided to choose SSPF.

We recently had an amazing interactive and FUN training day with Anna Lucas, it made us all realise that we have definitely made the right decision for our school. Especially now the spelling resources have been launched.

Every part of SSPF has been carefully tailored to ensure children have a memorable and engaging phonic learning experience, which was also reflected in the training. We can not wait to put all the training into practise!!

A great way to use up the stickers you often get in the centre of magazines and give them more of a learning focus. Which letter has the moat sticker? Which has the least? As it's Recycle Week I thought I would share a way of repurposing an old makeup compact. Perfect for children currently in the Reception year of School. A great way to develop letter recognition, practice saying the phonemes and perhaps a little bit of writing and letter formation too! Encouraging children to say the phonemes in front of a mirror really helps them articulate the sounds correctly. It's a chance to see what their lips, tongue and teeth are doing as they say the sounds. When children pronounce /m/, for example, they can see that their mouth stays closed.
