And just like that another decade of life is nearly complete 💫🙏🏼 Can you tell I’ve been feeling all nostalgic 🥹
20 ❤️ I was living my best life at uni, meeting 4 amazing fellow psych girls that will soon be my bridesmaids 🥺 & went on one of the funniest, craziest trips to date to LA to visit my other bestie!
21 ❤️ I graduated uni 🥹 and went on a clinical psychology volunteer placement to Sri Lanka for 6 weeks that changed my life! Immediately came home and started to save up to go travelling! ✈️
22 ❤️ I made my dream happen, worked in a school for 9 months, sold my car and off I went backpacking around south east Asia! Planned to go only for a year but…
23 ❤️ spent 9 months in Asia and then went over to live in Australia for 1 year! Made memories for life! Lived in both NSW and Brisbane and then started saving for New Zealand!
24 ❤️ went to Thailand for Christmas then started our camper van trip round New Zealand! But trip got cut a little short and flew home because of COVID and the start of a breakup! 💔
25 ❤️ crazy single life began! Lived at home for a while whilst I did my psychology masters, and worked in a mental health hospital! Then moved into my apartment in Manchester that summer and lots of partying happened! And Voyage MCR was birthed 🥰
26 ❤️ I continued building my business whilst still partying, dating and working as a host! Got my heart broken a couple of times… but then in March 2022 met the love of my life 🥹
27 ❤️ working working working, I was working very hard this year trying to make my business work, started a podcast, started working as a health and wellbeing coach part-time, made a lot of investments and desperately just wanted to create my dream business! Oh and Raf moved in 🙊💕
28 ❤️ another year of hustle, making the best business friends, and trying to figure out how I wanted life and business to look! And then I got married 🥰🥹 me and Raf did our Nikah (Islamic marriage)! Yes before we were engaged but we don’t do things by the book here…
29 ❤️ I started my PhD at the University of Manchester, I got engaged in one my fave countries ever Thailand 😭 and it feels like finally everything is coming together 🙏🏼

How lucky am I that this is what I get to call ‘work’ 🥹☕️💕💫
I’ve been reflecting deeply on the last retreat day and I thought I’d share a few things that I learned…
Being a leader/facilitator isn’t always about doing more, or having the loudest voice in the room… sometimes it’s about leaning back, listening, noticing and just being there to hold space. Your silence can be just as powerful and empowering as your words.
Healing and ‘doing the inner work’ doesn’t have to feel so intense… so much can come from a group of women getting together, talking openly about life/dating/friendships you name it, getting philosophical and putting the world to rights one minute but also having a laugh about a dating disaster the next over a cup of coffee, will still leave a powerful impression on your heart and mind.
And finally, connection truly is key! And we all need more of it. And I’m not talking about online because in one sense we are technically more connected than ever but in a lot of ways feel more alone than ever. There’s truly nothing more magical and special than in person human connection, being able to hug people, see into their eyes, notice all the little things we may miss being behind a screen.
And that’s definitely my mission now with both Voyage MCR and is to create more in person spaces where people can connect, share and feel truly seen! ❤️
We are already planning our next retreat day… it’s giving POR Christmas party 🙊✨🎄 all info soon to come 🥳
