🌿🍍 Activity Spotlight: Forest Fruits 🍌🥑🌿

This week at Baby Sensory Worcester, Malvern, Pershore & Evesham, our little explorers set off on a rainforest adventure! 🌎🌴

One of our favourite activities was discovering the amazing fruits and vegetables that the rainforest gives us. Tiny hands were busy exploring a wonderful variety of colours, textures, shapes and weights, creating a rich sensory experience for our babies. 💚

Did you know that touch is the very first sense to develop in the womb and is already highly developed when babies arrive? Through hands-on exploration, babies learn so much about the world around them.

We loved watching our little ones:
✨ Reach out with curiosity
✨ Sit independently to investigate further
✨ Explore by dropping, rolling, touching and smelling
✨ Share their discoveries with their grown-ups and friends
✨ Build their understanding of the world through sensory play

Every touch, squeeze, roll and discovery helps support learning, development and confidence. It was wonderful to see so much engagement, concentration and joy as our babies explored these exciting new sensations! 🍍🥭🍋

🏅✨ Baby Olympics 2026 ✨🏅

What an incredible week our little athletes have had at Baby Olympics! From music and movement activities to exciting games and milestone-building challenges, every session was packed with fun, learning, and lots of smiles. 💛

Our babies showed fantastic determination during tummy time "swimming," enjoyed a lively baby football match, and celebrated their achievements in style at our Olympic Closing Ceremony! 🏊⚽🏆

Every activity was designed to support their development and encourage them towards their next big milestone—and they certainly rose to the challenge!

Well done to all of our amazing Baby Olympians! 🌟👏

🏖️ Taste Safe Beach Sensory Play ☀️

Wanting to enjoy the fun of sand play but your little one is still in the “everything goes in the mouth” phase? Why not try these taste safe alternatives for a fun sensory beach set up at home!

Simply blend up cream crackers or Cheerios to create a baby-friendly sand substitute for little ones to explore. Add some clean beach toys, scoops, and containers and you’re ready for lots of sensory fun — even older siblings will love joining in too! 🪣✨

👣 For younger babies:
Sprinkle a little of the “sand” onto their tiny hands and toes so they can explore a new texture and sensation. Encourage them to track beach toys with their eyes and practise grasping new objects.

🧺 For sitting babies (supported or independently):
Let them dig, grab, pour, spread, and sprinkle the “sand” as they explore through play. Why not show them how to make a sandcastle too? They’ll love squishing them down again! 😄

✨ Remember to always supervise little ones during sensory play and check ingredients carefully if your baby has any allergies or dietary requirements.
