Not everyone will understand the decisions you make in life but it’s okay.
People pleasing gets us nowhere in the long run; just feeling somewhat frustrated.
This post is for anyone that has a dream or something they wish to pursue but just doesn’t feel able to. I’m not advocating creating chaos but often our true wishes and passions stem from childhood before life tells us how we are expected to live.
Maybe start off small like me with a wee solo trip. Not everyone understands the desire to take a trip alone but what’s not to like. Nature- check; fresh air- check; new surroundings to explore-check! #555 #444

I do not believe that work has to be work. There are quotes that say find a job or work you love and it won’t feel like you are working ever again.

Putting others first on occasion may be a necessity but I have grown up in an era where nursing was a vocation and others come first at all costs including no breaks, late finishes and eventual burnout.

Finally saying unemployment is lazy with no facts is just narrow minded and judgemental.

As I near my 3rd week unemployed I know I have worked my socks off since my teens and am having a much needed break. Why not! I deserve it.

I am looking forward to some creative opportunities and living less rigidly. It’s time to really be seen authentically!
I know that will be triggering for some but hey ho! As I approach my 43rd year, there will be less f**ks given

Happy Saturday people from me and my crazy hair.

There’s something strangely nostalgic about Saturdays. I think it’s actually my favourite day of the week. In childhood it’s the day we used to get fizzy pop and chicken crisps but I think I appreciate it most as an adult as fun can be had with the recovery of a Sunday to follow. Not too much fun of course. I am a Virgo 😉 but feeling very excited for my upcoming adventure and a pending birthday.

You may well realise by now that I actually quite like (okay, love) birds.
In recent years, it’s like I’ve woken up, noticing them more and more.
I heard a new birdsong outside my window and immediately got on my Merlin app. It was a nuthatch. Apparently these birds are common in this area. Who knew! I didn’t and I’ve lived here for 4 years.
Being the inquisitive person I am, I did some research and found the nuthatch walks down trees head first. Such a brave little bird.
Interestingly, I am revisiting tarot meanings and couldn’t help think of the hanged man; seeing things from different perspectives. Further investigation revealed this was the same spiritual symbolism of the nuthatch.
The signs and synchronicities are there when you listen. Sometimes you have to do the things that scare you a little or change perspectives💚
