This week in preschool we have continued with our summer/seaside theme we have also spoke about special people in our lives.. Our activites have incoperared the following areas
Physical development-running around and using our hands.
Personal,social emofional cevelopment-sharing and turn taking.
Communication and languge-talking to the children.
Numeracy-counting, shapes, sizes and more or less.
Literacy-reading stories linked to ohf topics such as snail and the whale
Expressive arts and design -our wonderful art work.
Undersanding the world- what is summer an wht is the seaside .

What better way for babies to end their vehicle topic than to have a visit to Morgan Motors today 🚗 we were so lucky that Abbie’s mum was able to get us in for a mini look around and we met with a lovely tour guide who spoke to the babies about all the different colours and all the different cars. Babies loved practising our colours and car noises. We ended the morning with a little picnic in the park before heading back in time for lunch ☀️

This week in toddlers we have continued our topic of learning about the oceans and the jungles, The children have engaged in activities such as:

🐙 counting and stacking blocks inside of the tentacles of the octopus
🐙 exploring the foam with the boats and the ocean animals
🐙 mark making different shapes and ocean animals
🌳 scavenging for natural materials and using them to make a ‘jungle’ with the playdough
🌳 exploring the rice and jungle animals
🌳 counting and sequencing using loose parts

Dear Parents/Carers,

We would like to let you know that children's photographs will be taken next Friday (19th June). This will include graduation photographs for those who are graduating from Preschool in the upcoming month.

If your child is not due to attend on that day but you would still like them to have their photograph taken, please speak to your child's Room Leader or Manager to arrange a suitable time slot.

Babies have enjoyed exploring our vehicles topic ✈️ we've made marks in the shaving foam with the cars 🚗 made marks with the paint using tractors 🚜 found all the hidden vehicles in the shredded paper 🚒 and enjoyed washing the cars in the garden 💦

Football Fever is here ⚽⚽
Its the start of the world cup🌎🏆
We want everybody to be able to take part and celebrate and as such we are inviting all our children to come in wearing a football top, a top in the colors of the team that your'e supporting, face paint, or bring in a vuvuzela if you have one!
We just ask that we all celebrate together, as we learn all about the different countries that are taking part.

This week in preschool we will be learning all about on the beach and under the sea and will incorporate summer into this topic. We have already had loads of fun making sun catchers, drawing fish in the sea and our own pretend campfire.
Our activites this week will incoperate the following areas
Physical-running jumping using our hands.
Personal,social and emotional development-sharing, taking turns and getting ready to start school.
Communication and language-talking with the children.
