AskTahmid Lost my brother and sister 6 years ago. Now I share what loss, trauma, and the science of healing actually look like.
đź«‚ You're not alone in this.

https://bio.site/asktahmid I started The Grief Thread after losing my little sister to an overdose and my brother to suicide. For a long time, I didn’t know where to put the love I still had for them. So I built this space — for myself, and for anyone still carrying someone they didn’t get to keep. The name comes from the idea that grief doesn’t just go away. It becomes a thread in our lives — som

etimes visible, sometimes tucked beneath the surface, but always there. It connects us to who we lost. And to others who understand. Every item in this shop is designed to honour that thread. To give shape to the memory. To say what still hurts. To remind you that you're not alone. Whether you’re wearing something, gifting something, or quietly keeping it close —
I hope it brings you some connection, some comfort, and a way to keep weaving your own grief story forward. Thank you for being here.

I used to think grief would simply get smaller with time.

But sometimes, grief doesn’t shrink. Life grows around it.

You laugh again. You meet new people. You make new memories. You find things to look forward to.

None of that means you miss them any less.

There’s no deadline for grief and no correct way to carry it.

You can still grieve deeply and let joy back into your life. Both can exist at the same time.

They are gone, but their light is still here.

In the stories you tell.
In the things they taught you.
In the person you became because they existed.
In the moments when something suddenly brings them back to you.

Death can end a life.

It doesn’t erase the love that life created. ✨

That’s what Afterglow is being built fo, a place where you can share the story of someone you’ve lost, keep their memory alive, and connect with others who are grieving too.

Some people become part of the sky we carry with us.

We lose their presence, but not everything they gave us, the memories, the love, the little pieces of them that still show up in who we are.

Maybe that’s what an afterglow is.

The light that remains after someone is gone. ✨

If you’re grieving someone, you don’t have to carry their story alone.

Comment STAR and I’ll send you the link to Afterglow, a place to share their story, remember them, and connect with people who understand.

Some people leave this world, but they never really leave our lives.

They stay in the little things: a song, a place, a memory that catches you off guard, a moment where you instinctively think of them.

Maybe missing someone forever isn’t something we need to fix.

Maybe it’s just what love looks like when someone is no longer here. ✨

But just know, you are not broken. I created this account to help people understand that grief is normal. It’s part of the human experience and even though it hurts so much right now and it might hurt later than down the line too but this is getting used to a while without them.
