🦋The butterflies have finally emerged from their chrysalises. The children have learned that the butterflies need sugary water which is a replacement for the nectar they would suck up from the flowers and fruit and space to spread their wings. The children got to see their butterflies being released whereby they will support and explore the local ecosystem. We talked about how the butterflies may make it into the children’s gardens so to keep a look out for them! 🦋

Trip to the library this week📚
The children picked up a few books and spent some time reading. We then voted to decide what books we were going to take back to Pre-School to borrow.
Also this week the children have enjoyed learning all about animals that lay eggs and have explored exciting tuff trays and have got creative with making different animal crafts.🪺🦆🐧

This week we have welcomed the caterpillars to preschool. We have all counted and identified that we have five. We have thought of names and have had a vote deciding that our caterpillars are going to be called; ‘Gaga’, ‘Beebee’, ‘Hattie’, ‘Phoebe’ and ‘Park’. The children have also been attempting to measure them using a ruler.
We cannot wait to see them grow! 🦋🐛

Today at preschool, we were delighted to welcome some very special visitors 🐑🐰
The children had a wonderful time meeting a gentle lamb and a friendly rabbit, and were especially excited to help feed the lamb 🍼 This hands-on experience supported their learning about animals while encouraging confidence, curiosity, and care.

The children came to pre-school in their pajamas and brought their favorite teddy bears for a lovely teddy bear picnic 🧸.
It was a fun way to raise funds for Crackerjacks, supporting children and families in need. Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make a difference! 💛
