DFEST is fast approaching June 27th & 28th, this festival is put on by Devon Dowsers, do please buy a ticket and go along and support it.
Dowsing is a journey of exploration; discover deeper aspects about yourself and Nature. It is so much more than searching for water.
The British Society of Dowsers is a UK charity that aims to support the practice of dowsing through educational courses, talks and meetings and the promotion of the activities of the lively dowsing groups throughout the UK. The society has been in existence since 1933, when it focussed much on water divining and searching for oil, minerals, or even lost people. But over time dowsing interests have

Celebrating Volunteers Week!
Volunteers' Week provides a valuable opportunity to recognise and celebrate the thousands of people who give their time, expertise and energy to causes they care about. Across the professional body sector, it has been wonderful to see organisations shining a spotlight on their volunteers, sharing their stories, and acknowledging the vital contribution they make.
Volunteers bring something that cannot easily be replicated: real-world experience, professional insight, and a genuine passion for supporting their sector and fellow practitioners. They strengthen governance, enhance credibility, and ensure that professional bodies remain member-led and relevant. Many professional bodies simply could not function in the way they do without them.
Could you volunteer and be part of something special?
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us at our Annual Conference on 19th & 20th September, being held in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire.
There are lots of ways you can get involved, including:
• Welcoming and registering attendees on arrival
• Handing out badges and helping people get settled
• Signposting visitors to different rooms and areas around the venue
• Helping in the shop (full guidance and training will be provided)
Even a few hours of your time would make a huge difference and help us create a warm and welcoming experience for everyone attending.
Earlier this year, we sadly had to cancel the Malvern Well Dressing. For a water charity, this was a real disappointment, but unfortunately, we just couldn’t find volunteers to make it happen alongside everything else that needed doing.
The good news is that the 60 Wells, Springs and Spouts that were dressed were absolutely wonderful, with the standard better than ever and a fantastic bird theme. It really showed what can be achieved when people come together — the average team usually has around six volunteers.
We’re also looking for help with another exciting project: launching a Duke of Edinburgh scheme to introduce the next generation to dowsing. If you have experience in education, knowledge of the DofE programme, or skills in creating learning materials or a syllabus, your support would be incredibly valuable.
We’re not asking anyone to commit huge amounts of time — just to get involved in an area that interests you and where you feel you can help.
Every volunteer makes a difference, and together we can keep these wonderful projects thriving. 💧

Zoom Talk with John Twigg
Thursday 21st May 2026 - 7.30pm (London)
SUNLIGHT: The Miraculous and Magnificent Energy Source of Healing Remedies
It was almost 30 years ago that John entered The College of Practical Homeopathy, during which time he was introduced to Narayani Combination Remedies. While investigating the work of the author, Swami Narayani, he developed a strong interest in gemstones used in Ayurvedic Medicine and became curious about why they should function as remedies. He soon came to the conclusion that the gemstones represented sunlight.
Using the highly skilled dowsing abilities developed more than 4,000 years ago, Ayurvedic practitioners were able to determine which individual gemstones best represented the spectrum of light. It was believed that deficiencies in the absorption and assimilation of this “light” could lead to an “unbalanced” state. These gemstones were therefore used as remedies to help rebalance and treat those who were ill.
Due to John's enquiring nature, he reasoned that the active principle of gemstones must be “light” frequencies. As a result, he decided to purchase the appropriate gems and place them in individual bottles to be used as dowsing tools. He subsequently developed a simple method of dowsing to determine which part of the spectrum an individual was “electromagnetically attracted” to while in an ill state.
The results, in his view, were remarkable. In one case, epilepsy symptoms improved within 30 minutes, more than 20 years ago, with no further problems reported since. Many other extraordinary cases followed over the years, which he attributed to sunlight frequencies and remedies, utilising the remarkable system of Electrical Dowsing.
