Congratulations to all our Y11 students who collected their results today. There were some very happy faces as students celebrated another good set of results. Students are now excitedly planning their next steps - be that Sixth Form, apprenticeship or college and we wish them all the very best whatever their chosen post 16 route. We understand that there has been an incident at the bottom of Middlecave Road which may impact traffic in that part of Malton. If you are travelling to school today to collect your GCSE results, you may wish to allow longer for getting here, find alternative routes, or walk or cycle.

In the summer term, Y9 DT students had the opportunity to put all the skills they'd been learning over the year into practice by designing and then creating an Alice in Wonderland themed clock. Great work Y9!

Our Everyone Can Create Photography and Film PDA had a brilliant (and very hot) term, using their iPad cameras to their full creative potential. The group has explored colour, texture, composition, editing, portraits, action, landscapes, stop motion and so much more. As has now become tradition, whilst the Gardening PDA were away on their trip to Helmsley Walled Garden, the ECC group made the most of having the gardens to themselves, and put everything they had learnt throughout the term together. Here is a (very small) selection of the fantastic work produced by this talented bunch showing our beautiful school gardens to best effect! Great work everyone! 👏

The Kenya team had a busy first day at their next camp. They were helping to improve a local school - stripping off the bottom layer of render on the building and then re-rendering it. Great team work!

The team in Kenya spent their last night at the wildlife foundation at the weekend, before moving camps. They spent the day building a Boma - an enclosure to protect a farmer's herd from lions. They also collected the camera traps they'd placed on the first day and were delighted to spot a rhino on the footage. There was even a bit of time for shopping at the local market - Kenya football shirts were a firm favourite!
