🌟 GCSE Results Spotlight 🌟

We’re delighted to share another fantastic achievement following our GCSE results celebrations!

Among the many outstanding performances at Norton, Maisie has been recognised as one of the highest-performing students in the country for her Cambridge National Sport qualification! 🏆👏

This is an incredible achievement and a real testament to Maisie’s hard work, commitment and dedication throughout the course. We couldn’t be prouder of her success and are thrilled to see her achievement recognised at a national level. 💙

We are delighted to celebrate another year of improved achievement at Norton College! 📈👏

Attainment across subjects has increased once again, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces this morning as our students arrived to collect their results. Your hard work, determination and commitment have truly paid off — well done to every one of you! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of our Class of ’26 and wish all our students every success and happiness as they take their next steps, whether that’s continuing their studies, starting an apprenticeship, entering employment or embarking on a new adventure.

We would like to congratulate all of our students who worked tirelessly and with great resilience and motivation to secure their A Level and other Level 3 results. We know that great A Level and other equivalent qualification results can only be the result of commitment and a determination to succeed. This is a special cohort for Norton College, and we wish every one of our sixth form students success and happiness in their next steps. Special thanks to sixth form staff and to parents for their unwavering support of our students during their time with us.

🎶 What a fantastic start to our first Norton School Recital evening! 🌟

On Monday evening, the audience at St Peter’s Church House was treated to a wonderful showcase of musical talent. This special event gave our Key Stage 3 students, particularly Year 9, the opportunity to perform in an intimate and supportive setting.

A huge congratulations to all of our performers and everyone who helped make the evening such a success. We are incredibly proud of you! 👏🎵

The Children's Commissioner has launched an important survey to give children a say on what it’s like to be a child or young person in England today. The survey results are used by the Government to help them make life better for children. Children are able to do the survey directly, and adults can do the survey on behalf of a child. Work Experience Week has been packed with inspiring visits, valuable learning, and fascinating insights into the world of work! 🌟

A huge thank you to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, English Heritage, North Yorkshire Police, and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service for giving our students such an incredible opportunity to learn from professionals, explore different career pathways, and gain first-hand experience of the amazing work you do. Your time, knowledge, and enthusiasm have made a lasting impact. 👏

🌾👨‍🌾 Meet Bob, our school scarecrow! 👋

Our students had a fantastic time working together to create Bob, who is helping to keep the pesky pigeons away from our farm area! 🚜

As part of the project, the students learned about the importance of wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on a farm. Bob was dressed in real farm overalls, wellington boots, protective gloves, and a hat, with straw for hair to complete the look! 🌾

This fun, hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, and an understanding of farm safety while bringing our farm theme to life. Well done, everyone!
