During September the children have shown a real interest in creating structures and balancing items to make some rather amazing work. We wondered what unusual items we could gather to further this wonderful learning. We were kindly donated a selection of Corian blocks from Yorkshire Kitchens & Interiors and these blocks have been great fun, from structures to jigsaw pieces to pillows in dolls houses! Imagination is such a wonderful skill!

2 weeks ago Miss Gill had the privilege of being able to go and view “ the red dress project “ a worldwide art piece with an amazing story. Full of inspiration Miss Gill and the children set about creating “ The Rillington red dress ”. The children used different ways to create their own unique panel to join together ,to make a finished project. Amazingly Miss Gill sent a photo to the original artist not expecting a reply. Kirstie however did reply , saying she thought it was “ wonderful to see this “ and has now featured our design on her website! We are worldwide famous!!!! welcome to the new term ! I hope you all had a wonderful summer .
The children have settled well back in to pre-school life and we were all pleased to see the children return ( much taller ) ,and get to know our new children .

Today I put on my pre-school jumper for the last time.
I have had the privilege of leading Rillington Pre-School for 20 years achieving 2 Outstanding gradings by Ofsted and this year "STRONG in all areas”.
I have always worked hard to ensure the setting has continued to develop, succeed, and provide the best possible service for children and families in our care.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Pre-school meeting families and seeing all the children grow, develop, become more confident and independent. It’s been a blast. But before I run out of steam I would like to try something else, don’t know what, any ideas considered!
I would like to thank my staff past and present they have been and continue to be amazing and always give 110% everyday to the children we have in our care.

I will miss you all.
