We are delighted to announce that Kirkham Henry has been successful in receiving a grant from the Northern Powergrid Foundation towards the installation of solar panels.
This is an exciting step forward in our commitment to sustainability and creating a greener future for our community. We are incredibly grateful for this support, which will help us reduce our environmental impact while continuing to provide outstanding opportunities for our school and wider community.

Sunday evening smiles-One of the loveliest things about Kirkham Henry is seeing the friendships that continue long after students leave our doors.
This weekend I had the pleasure of spending time with a remarkable group of Kirkham Henry alumni at the engagement party of my niece, Saskia, Miss Ali’s daughter) to her fiancé Jordan. It was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, memories and celebration.
What struck me most was the strength of the friendships within this group. Through life's ups and downs, they have remained loyal, supportive and always there for one another. Watching them together was a reminder that performing Arts is about so much more than learning the art – it creates lifelong bonds and a sense of family that lasts for years.
To see former pupils still sharing such a special friendship makes me incredibly proud. Congratulations to Saskia and Jordan on your engagement, and thank you for a truly wonderful evening spent with such a special group of young people. Miss Angela

Some of Miss Evie’s Jazz and Commercial students joined her for a special photograph today as we presented her with a wedding gift from everyone at Kirkham Henry.
Pupils, parents and staff kindly contributed towards a wedding present, and together we were delighted to gift Miss Evie and Will a £200 John Lewis voucher, mutually agreed between Miss Angela and Evie.
This generous collection is a true testament to just how much Miss Evie is loved and appreciated by her pupils and their families. Her dedication, kindness and passion for teaching have touched so many lives, and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate this exciting new chapter with her.
Congratulations, Miss Evie and your new husband– with love from your Kirkham Henry family! 💕

A huge thank you to Malton Town Council for the beautiful flowers and planters that brighten the railings outside Kirkham Henry.

Malton In Bloom (MiB) is a thriving community gardening campaign, established in 2017, run entirely by volunteers, and managed by Malton Town Council. Our aim is to make Malton look blooming marvellous throughout the year.

They create such a welcoming first impression for everyone who visits us and add so much colour and charm to our corner of Malton. Our families and visitors enjoy them throughout the season, and we are grateful for all the hard work that goes into keeping our town looking so attractive.
Thank you for helping make Malton such a vibrant and welcoming place to live, work and learn.

Book now for Kids Week 2026! London’s West End.
During Kids Week, a child 17 and under goes free to the theatre when accompanied by an adult paying full price. Plus, an additional two children can attend for half price.
Over 50 top London shows will take part in Kids Week. Plus, an exciting programme of activities will give young theatre fans the chance to discover behind the scenes magic.
Kids Week runs throughout the summer holidays with tickets available to select performances from Monday 20 July to Monday 31 August 2026
Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Tuesday 9 June

At Kirkham Henry, we believe that dance, theatre and the arts should be accessible to everyone.
We are incredibly proud that dancers who attend using wheelchairs and mobility scooters are already a valued and much-loved part of our community. Their enthusiasm, talent and determination enrich our classes every single week, and we are committed to ensuring they can continue to thrive alongside their peers.
As our charity grows, so does our ambition. We are actively seeking funding to make our building fully accessible, creating an environment where every individual can participate with dignity, independence and confidence.
Accessibility is not simply about ramps and facilities; it is about opportunity, inclusion and belonging. We know the difference the arts can make to wellbeing, confidence and social connection, and we want to ensure those opportunities are available to everyone.
We hope that funders, partners and supporters will recognise the work being done at Kirkham Henry and help us take this important next step. Together, we can create a space where every person, regardless of mobility, can experience the joy and life-changing benefits of the performing arts.

Today is Grandma Molly's heavenly birthday. ❤️
Many of our Kirkham Henry family will remember Molly, not only as Miss Angela’s and Miss Ali’s ( & brother Tony’s) mum, but as a much-loved character who was always there whenever she was needed.
From helping open Kirkham School of Dancing through to the growth of Kirkham Henry, she did absolutely everything – styling hair for exams, preparing meals for visiting examiners, organising costume changes for Showtimes , chaperoning pupils to vocational examinations when parents were at work, and caring for Miss Angela’s two daughters when the demands of running the school became overwhelming. She’d go on the cruise ships when Miss Ali was producing or performing in the production shows to help sew last minute costumes and to look after Miss Ali’s daughter Sas.
Nothing was ever too much trouble. She gave her time, energy and love so generously, always putting others before herself and having an open house. Behind so many happy memories, achievements and opportunities for our pupils was Grandma Molly, quietly making things happen.
She was one of a kind, full of warmth, humour and determination, and she was loved by so many.
On her heavenly birthday, we remember her with gratitude, love and countless happy memories. Her legacy lives on in the Kirkham Henry family she helped build and nurture for so many years. Who can remember Grandma Molly getting accidentally locked in the Milton Rooms after an after show party ? Those were the days! Happy heavenly birthday Grandma Molly. 💛

Another exciting adventure for former KH pupil Leo, who is back in Miami rehearsing for his latest contract with Princess Cruises. 🚢✨
Having already enjoyed several successful cruise ship contracts, it's wonderful to see Leo continuing to build such an impressive career in the industry.
With fellow KH alumni Charlie ( home waiting for his next contract) and Lincoln also performing and travelling around the world, we can't help but wonder who will bump into each other first while rehearsing, performing, or cruising the oceans!
We are incredibly proud of these talented young men and all they have achieved. They are fantastic ambassadors for KH and an inspiration to our current pupils.
