The cast of St Joseph's School & Nursery have returned with a ground-breaking production of Hannah and the Tyger

The school performed John Hughes and Mike Scanlon's Hannah and the Tyger as a musical in Malmesbury Abbey yesterday. The children put on an amazing performance to a packed crowd in this beautiful setting. It was a huge team effort involving the whole school, making it a great success and a production to be proud of. We are so grateful to John for trusting us with his work and for accompanying the children so wonderfully. It was delightful to receive comments afterwards describing it as a "triumph", "moving" and "magical". Thank you to our lovely audience for your support.

Our Year 6 pupils visited PDFitness gym on Thursday. They participated in a spin class, had a gym tour, used the cardio equipment, strength & conditioning facilities and finished with some core work and stretching. Every part of the morning was engaging, enjoyable and inspiring for the children. Our personal trainer, James, led the session. His positive energy, encouragement and interaction with the children helped them feel confident, motivated and included throughout. The children came away genuinely excited about fitness and wellbeing.

We thank the whole team for their generosity and kindness - it was a wonderful experience for all involved.

We are proud to say we now have an alumni association and this weekend former pupils joined with staff, parents and governors to work on our wonderful grounds. There was much strimming, weeding, painting and staining all to make the school an even better place for our lovely children. If you are a former St Joseph's pupil and would like to join the alumni then head over to their page and get involved. It's as much about remembering and celebrating school days as it is about helping out. You can do as much or as little as you like.
