Dear Parents,

For N&L Nurture and Learn CIC we are gathering feedback from local parents to understand the demand for affordable educational and SEND support for children aged 3 - 12 in the Maldon and surrounding local areas.

Responses will help us demonstrate local need when applying for funding.

All responses will be anonymous and information will be kept confidential. The survey should take around 2 minutes to complete.

Hey everyone!

I’m so excited to share that I’ve recently set up a Community Interest Company (CIC)! N&L Nurture and Learn CIC

This is a really important step for us, as it will enable us to support even more families, regardless of their circumstances, and reach those who may need a little extra help.

A CIC puts the community at the heart of everything we do, and I’m so excited about what we can achieve together.

I'm a little late posting but I've been away on holiday for the last week and I couldn't let this pass without saying how incredibly proud I am of all the children I tutored for their Year 6 SATs this year.

As someone who works with a wide range of children, I am often asked the question: “How do I support my child with phonics?”

Many of us grew up in a generation where phonics was not taught in the same way it is today. Perhaps we do not remember learning it ourselves, or maybe our own learning experiences have made us feel unsure or nervous about supporting our children.

The good news is that phonics is something all parents and carers can help with — once they know how.

I am here to help! This workshop is designed to build your confidence and provide you with practical tools and simple strategies to support your child’s reading journey at home.

Following your child’s trial lesson, families commit monthly to:

2 engaging phonics lessons per week (term time only)
Free learning resources and activity ideas

We’re so excited to announce that our Pre-School Activity Lessons are back!

Are you looking for fun, engaging learning opportunities to help your 3–4 year old get ready for school? Our sessions are designed to build confidence, develop key early skills, and make learning enjoyable every step of the way.

With experience teaching children from Early Years through to Year 6, your little ones will be in safe, supportive, and knowledgeable hands.

What a term it’s been! We’ve had an absolute blast teaching fractions, weight, capacity, decimals, phonics, reading, story writing, and even poetry. It’s been amazing seeing the children light up with excitement, especially when tackling trickier concepts like fractions!

A huge thank you to all of you for your incredible support. We wish you a very happy and joyful Easter!
