Although the planned trip to Thorndon Country Park on Tuesday couldn't go ahead due to transportation issues, our fantastic staff quickly came up with a Plan B to make sure the children still had a memorable day!

Instead, Year 5 headed to Promenade Park, where they enjoyed a fun-filled day together. The children created and completed their own scavenger hunt, took part in team games, enjoyed a picnic lunch, and, most importantly, spent quality time with their friends. Their enthusiasm, resilience, and positive attitudes made the day a great success despite the change of plans.

The good news is that we have successfully rebooked our visit to Thorndon Country Park for September, giving the children something exciting to look forward to as they begin Year 6.

A big thank you to our staff for their flexibility and creativity in making the best of an unexpected situation, and to our wonderful Year 5 children for embracing the adventure with such big smiles! πŸ˜ƒ

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our amazing swimming teacher, Mrs Osborne.

After 18 wonderful years at Wentworth, she is leaving to spend more time with her little grandson and enjoy this exciting new chapter as a proud nanny.

Mrs Osborne has been an incredible teacher whose passion for helping children become confident swimmers has made a lasting difference to so many families. She believes that living so close to the water, swimming is such an important life skill, and she has inspired countless children to develop confidence, resilience and a love of being in the pool. 🏊

Over the years, she has taught past, current and even future Wentworth pupils through her much-loved Parent & Baby classes. Rumour has it we’ll be seeing her again soon – this time with her grandson enjoying those very same baby classes! πŸ’™

Kay, thank you for everything you have done for our children and our school community. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you. We will miss you very much and wish you all the happiness as you embrace your new role as Nanny.

Enjoy every precious moment – you’ve certainly earned it! πŸ’πŸ’•

Welcome to Wentworth’s newest (and most unexpected) rock duo!🎸 ⭐

In a one-time-only surprise performance, Wentworth’s very own Mrs Dack and Mrs Rayner swapped meetings for music, took to the stage and stunned pupils and parents at the iRock Summer Concert.

From school leaders to rock legends (well… for one afternoon anyway!), they delivered a performance nobody saw coming! 🎸✨

Was it rehearsed? Maybe. Was it legendary? Absolutely. ⭐

Click on the link below and enjoy the moment that had everyone cheering, smiling, and asking… β€œWhen’s the next gig?” πŸ˜„

Another scorcher of a week! β˜€οΈπŸŒ‘οΈ

We have had another action-packed few days, and it’s been wonderful to see the children getting involved in so many different activities.

Our Sports Mornings took place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the children were absolutely amazing. It was lovely to welcome so many parents along to support them and share in their achievements - thank you for helping to make these events so special. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Tuesday saw our iRock end-of-term concert, where the children had the chance to showcase what they have been working on to their families. We had some incredible singers, drummers and guitarists, along with a very special performance from an exciting new duo… watch out for their video release coming next week! 🎸πŸ₯πŸŽ€

Elsewhere this week, our Year 6 pupils held their Enterprise Fair, showcasing their creativity and entrepreneurial skills. Our Year 5 children enjoyed a trip to Plume to watch a fantastic production of Frozen Jr., and even more of our Year 6 pupils successfully completed their Bikeability training. 🚲

A huge well done to all of our children for another fantastic week - we are so proud of everything they continue to achieve! 🌟
