News letter terms 5-6

The end of the school year is approaching so quickly, the team will be preparing transition documents for those who are moving on and reports for those who are staying with us.

The schools will be making appointments to visit the children, your school of choice will also contact you with settling in dates, please let us know if your child will not be attending preschool.

We will be arranging an end of term Lunch 22/07/26 for those who are moving onto big school in September, your child will receive an invite so please check their bags. The children who already stay for lunch on that day will also be included

The team will be arranging Graduation photos and certificates for those who are leaving. The team will keep you informed about the graduation ceremony this will be for those who are making their transition to SCHOOL only not those who are moving on to another preschool. This will also take place on the 22/07/26
All family members of these children are invited to attend; we should start at around 9.15 so please make sure you arrive on time for drop off.

The children have covered so much this year, and it is so nice to see all the children make progress.

School Transition
children will need to be self-sufficient when they go to school so please concentrate on the following

1. If they are still in nappies and are, ready work over the break to make sure that they dry and ready for school. The school pay contact you if your child needs changing! However, if your child has Special Educational Needs this may not be possible, so do not stress yourself out about this, Schools cannot refuse your child entry, however you will need to speak to them to put a care plan in place.
2. Give them the confidence to be independent so able to dress and undress, put on their socks and shoes, wash their hands, tend to their own needs with regards to toileting. This includes bottom wiping; the school will not do this for your child.
3. They need to be able to open and close their own lunch boxes, food containers, yoghurts, and drinks bottles. If your child is taking a packed lunch (they cannot do this if attending Jubilee school) Please check the schools healthy eating policy.

4. If your child will be staying for hot school meals and has special dietary needs due to religious requirements or has allergies you must let your school know, We suggest a written letter listing all requirements you can then pass this on to your child’s teacher, it may also be a good idea to forward a copy to via email as a backup.

Summer footwear for preschool
No Sandals or crocs please, we will send children home if they are wearing these. For safety reasons children’s feet must protected. Trainers are the best footwear; they support they support the Childs foot when they are running and protect their toes.

Last of all I would like to thank you all for your support, for sending your children to Busy Lizzy Nursery, to the team for all their dedication and the time they spend out of working hours sorting out resources and doing research to help the children who attend the preschool.
We wish all the children well in their new schools.

Claire and I will be monitoring the emails, page and telephone during the summer break, we may not get back to you straight away, but we will reply as quickly as possible.

Kind regards
Gill, Claire, and Team.

Dear Parents,
The temperature is going to be very hot, please put an ice pack in your childs lunch box , we will do our very best to keep the hall as cool as possible.

During the hot spell we will still go outside but only for a short period of time.

Children will be encouraged to drink plenty of water.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message

Gill
