Pregnancy can sometimes feel like your body is changing faster than you can keep up with.

Learning to slow down and tune in can make such a difference.

At Mums in Motion Pregnancy, we focus on:

✨ Gentle strength and movement
✨ Breathing and body awareness
✨ Supporting common pregnancy discomforts
✨ Building confidence in your changing body

You don’t need to “push through” pregnancy.

You deserve movement that supports you. 🤍

“Why does my body feel so unfamiliar right now?”

Pregnancy can be such a strange experience.

Your body is changing constantly.

One day you feel like yourself…

The next, your movements feel different, your energy changes, and you’re suddenly aware of every ache and sensation.

You might find yourself thinking:
💭 “Is this normal?”
💭 “Should I be doing more?”
💭 “Why do I not feel like myself?”

The truth is — pregnancy asks you to build a whole new relationship with your body.

Not one based on pushing through.

One based on listening, adapting, and trusting the signals your body is giving you.

This week we’re talking about the mind-body connection during pregnancy — and how gentle movement, breathing, and awareness can help you feel more comfortable and confident as your body changes. 🤍

Let’s talk about strength 💛

What makes you feel strongest?

💪 Moving your body
🌿 Getting outside
👶 Spending time with your children
🏃 Achieving a goal
☕ Taking time for yourself
❤️ Something else

One thing I didn’t expect from strength training after becoming a mum was how much it would help my confidence.

Not confidence because I looked different.

Confidence because I felt capable.

Capable of carrying Charlotte.

Capable of handling challenges.

Capable of looking after myself as well as everyone else.

For me, strength has never really been about the weights.

It’s about what those weights represent.

Resilience.

Capability.

Trust in yourself.

And motherhood has only reinforced that lesson 💛

One of the biggest changes I see in mums isn’t how much weight they can lift.

It’s how they carry themselves.

They stand taller.

They move with more confidence.

They stop apologising for taking up space.

They trust themselves more.

That’s because strength has a ripple effect.

When you feel stronger physically, it often changes how you approach challenges outside the gym too.

And that’s something worth celebrating 💛

Forget fitness tests.

Let’s talk motherhood strength tests 😂

☐ Survived a public toddler meltdown
☐ Functioned after broken sleep
☐ Found a missing shoe in under 30 seconds
☐ Ate a meal while it was still hot
☐ Left the house on time

If you’ve ticked any of these recently, you’re stronger than you think 💪

How many boxes are you ticking this week?

When people hear “strength training”, they often think of weights and workouts.

But for mums, strength is much bigger than that.

It’s physical.

It’s emotional.

It’s mental.

At Mums in Motion, we’re not just helping you get stronger muscles.

We’re helping you build confidence, resilience, and trust in your body again.

Because motherhood asks a lot of you.

You deserve to feel capable meeting those demands.

15/06/2026

Strength isn’t just about muscles.

After having a baby, many mums don’t just lose confidence in their body — they lose confidence in what their body can do.

You might second-guess yourself.

Wonder if you’re doing exercises correctly.

Feel nervous lifting heavier things.

Or simply not feel as capable as you once did.

That loss of confidence can affect far more than fitness.

Because feeling strong isn’t just physical.

It’s knowing your body can support you through everyday life.

The good news?

Confidence can be rebuilt.

And often it starts with small moments where you realise:

“Actually... I can do this.” 💛
