The start of our space themed learning topic and a visit from Chloe this week 😍

The hot weather has certainly kept us on our toes the past couple of weeks, but we’ve still managed to keep the children happy, entertained and having lots of fun. A huge thank you to one of our lovely parents for lending us an air conditioning unit this week. It made such a difference and helped keep everyone much more comfortable during the heatwave!

We’ve also had lots of exciting transitions taking place. Our older children have been enjoying visits and play sessions at their new primary schools and we’ve been meeting some of their new teachers with visits to our setting. At the same time, we’ve loved welcoming our new September starters into the setting as they start their settling in sessions. It’s been wonderful watching them begin to explore, make new friends and start feeling at home with us.

We’re so proud of all the children for embracing all of these changes. It’s always a
hard time of year with so much going on but also exciting new adventures and friends.

Today we said goodbye to our lovely Chloe as she starts her maternity leave. 💕

Over the last couple of years, Chloe has become such a huge part of our little setting. She came to work with us, but somewhere along the way she became a beautiful friend too.

We are so grateful for how utterly unfazed she has been by myself and Wendy’s absolute chaos! Whether it’s Wendy chatting without ever taking a breath, or me throwing my ‘great’ ideas at the girls every morning. From a chicken wandering around the kitchen, or producing a giant bunny costume and declaring one of us needed to put it on (and then realising we couldn’t breathe in it!)…Chloe has never once questioned the madness. 😂

We will miss you Chlo. But it’s not really goodbye, it’s just good luck for now! Also a big thank you to the parents who sent in gifts, it was hugely appreciated

Last week I had the week off to go on holiday but before I left I worked really hard to give our playroom a revamp.
It’s always been a priority to me to create a lovely space for the children and I was really excited when we recently moved into our new house and we had an extension that I could use as a playroom.
I soon realised the room felt flat and uninspiring so before I went on holiday I persuaded my husband to help me remove a wall to create a bigger space.
I filled, sanded and painted all of the walls in a warmer colour. Brought and put together new furniture to create different areas for the children to explore. I then gave the whole room a really good clean and added lots of resources, toys and furnishings to try and create a cosier environment. I’ve added a reel of my journey!
