We are celebrating Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈.
This week we have been talking about our own families and who lives in our homes. We have discovered that some families are different from our own. Our families may be different, but they all have one thing in common - they love each other. We have talked about being proud of who we are and to keep being ourselves.

- Reducing prejudice and discrimination.

- Promoting kindness, acceptance and equality of all people.

- Embracing differences.

- Developing respect.

On Tuesday afternoon the children enjoyed creating colourful toast.

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞.🏳️‍🌈 You are celebrated all year long. This month and every month, you belong here.

📮 Today we have been busy exploring our Post Office Role play area.📝We have been writing cards and postcards to our friends and families.✏️

Welcome back for the last term of the year! We hope everyone had a great half term break. We’re looking forward to a busy term full of joy and learning.

The children loved playing in our flower shop today. A
𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞 who kindly donated lots of real flowers 💐🌷🌼 which absolutely enhanced the experience. We are very grateful and we are looking forward to using the flowers in further activities this week.

- Taking on a role~customer, florist, shop assistant.
- Developing negotiation skills, turn taking and sharing.
- Building vocabulary, sorting and matching.
- Using our senses to explore the beautiful flowers.

A family kindly donated some sunflower seeds from a sunflower 🌻 they grew last year, thank you. So today the children planted a sunflower seed in a pot to take home and grow. Please keep the pot on a sunny windowsill until they are planted out. Don’t forget to water! Plant them out when they are approximately 30cm tall. We look forward to receiving updates and photos of their growth.🌱

𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘆’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸
The MoonWalk London is an iconic overnight power walking challenge organised by Walk the Walk charity to raise money for breast cancer causes AND other cancer causes including research and emotional/physical care.

Patsy will be joining her fellow ‘Hooter Troopers’ for the 15.1 mile trek, thinking of all those who have been affected by these illnesses especially in her own family and friends.
