The Education Team had a great time this week taking part in our own workshop! We threw ourselves into the part of Potted History and loved dressing up.
Our costumes are handmade by one of the team - can you guess the parts we are playing from Leeds Castle's history?

Today the Education Team took part in Audio Description Training with Kent Association for the Blind.
We learnt about the different types of sight loss, best practice for audio description and how it can improve a person's understanding of history.
We then tried it ourselves, describing an object that the other couldn't see and then they drew it. This really tested our verbal skills!
We then did the same with photographs, which tested our attention to detail.

It was great fun, but so important for us to have these skills so we can meet the needs of all the pupils we have visiting us.

Thank you Kent Association for the Blind!
