For some of our visitors this week, Throwback Thursday became rather more literal than usual.
Earlier this week, we added more of our historic whole-school photographs to the Sanfourche Corridor. During our first Open Morning, former pupils were already stopping to find themselves among hundreds of familiar MGS faces.
These photographs are taken every five years and provide a wonderful record of generations of Maidstonians. We have several more waiting to go on display, but they need to be professionally framed and protected first.
So, we’re asking our MGS community for a little help.
Could you contribute towards having one of our historic photographs framed? Or perhaps there is a professional framer amongst our alumni or wider community who could help us?
We’re also on a mission to find 1979. That whole-school photograph is missing from our collection. If there is one rolled up in a loft, behind a wardrobe or carefully stored away somewhere, we would love to hear from you.
This afternoon we will be welcoming prospective families to MGS for our Open Evening, so it seems especially appropriate to be celebrating those who have walked these corridors before them.
