Student Achievement, Charlotte in 9C
At the end of May, Charlotte in 9C completed a three-day Community Leadership course with St John Ambulance, taking on a series of group challenges with great success.
Charlotte was also chosen to lead the ceremonial drill at the end of the course, the first time a cadet had been selected for this role.
This is a fantastic achievement, and we would like to congratulate Charlotte on her hard work, confidence and leadership. Well done!

Last term, we were delighted to welcome pupils from Loose Primary School and Coxheath Primary School to Invicta for an Artist in Residence workshop.
The pupils were guided by our Art teachers, with support from several of our GCSE and A Level Art students, as they explored the process of creating nature gelli prints using foliage. They then used their iPads to photograph and edit their prints, producing some incredibly creative and striking pieces of artwork.
It was wonderful to see the pupils experimenting with different techniques and developing their ideas throughout the session. We hope they had a fantastic time with us at Invicta!
A huge thank you to our students for supporting the workshop so brilliantly and for exemplifying the creativity, kindness and leadership that we are so proud of at Invicta.

Our final Tea and Tech session of the academic year took place recently, as we welcomed back Circle of Friends for another lovely afternoon at Invicta.
Several of our Sixth Form students spent time supporting the oldies with their technology, helping with phones, tablets and online tools, while also enjoying friendly conversations over tea, biscuits and plenty of laughter.
These sessions have been a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with older members of the community, share skills and build meaningful relationships across generations.
We hope all the oldies have a lovely summer and we look forward to welcoming Circle of Friends back to Invicta in the next academic year!

Senior Prefect Spotlight – Academic Life
For the next spotlight in our Senior Prefect Team, we are featuring Lidia and Will, who are leading Academic Life at Invicta. Their role will focus on supporting students academically, promoting work experience opportunities and strengthening revision support across all year groups.
Lidia and Will said:
“Your time at Invicta is not just for learning, it is a stepping stone for your future, bridging the gap between the classroom and the professional world. As your Senior Academic Prefects, we will be the leads of academic life at Invicta, revitalising the academic hubs and championing work experience opportunities, through creating a work experience portal. We are here to help you achieve goals in school and in the long term, such as career aspirations and higher education. We will communicate and work with staff and subject prefects to empower students to participate in Academic Hubs and competitions. We understand that education is important for your future, which is why we want to create a robust revision support network, not just at critical years, but for all year groups.
We value that the present sets you up for your future, which is why we want to support you in making it count.”

On Thursday, 4 June, thirty Year 7 and Year 8 students had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a football training session with former England Lioness and football legend Jill Scott - JS8 as part of Monster Kickabout.
The event took place at Gallagher Stadium, where students were welcomed with a special gift package including football boots and a Monster Kickabout playing top. Throughout the day, they took part in a range of football activities across eight different stations, supported by enthusiastic coaches.
The main highlight was meeting Jill Scott, with students having the chance to take part in activities alongside her and even try to save some of her shots on goal. Students were also awarded medals by Jill, took part in a Q&A about her career and experiences in football, and ended the day with photographs and signed souvenirs to take home.
Despite the wet weather, students showed brilliant enthusiasm and represented Invicta exceptionally well throughout. It was a memorable experience and one they will no doubt remember for a long time.
