Year 10 PPE Mock Exams begin this week
Year 10 students begin their PPE Mock Exams this week.
To support them, we are running some taster after-school revision sessions. These sessions are designed to help students prepare for their upcoming exams, while also giving them a flavour of the revision and intervention support that will be available from September as they move into Year 11.
Students do not need to book. They simply need to turn up to the session and will be directed to the correct classroom.
We strongly encourage Year 10 students to take advantage of this support and start building positive revision habits early.

It has been a real pleasure welcoming prospective Year 5 families into school for our open tours.
The visits are a great chance to show what makes our school special: our focus on academia, belonging and opportunity, alongside the care, ambition and experiences we offer every child.
Further tours are available and can be booked via the school website. We look forward to welcoming more families soon.

Today marked a special milestone as we celebrated our Year 11 Leavers' Day.
Following their Science exam, students had the opportunity to spend time together, sign shirts, enjoy a free burger and reflect on the memories they have made throughout their five years at the school.
One of the highlights of the day was watching their leavers' video, filled with photos and clips capturing their journey from Year 7 to Year 11. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and a few emotional moments as students looked back on how far they have come.
We were incredibly proud of the way our Year 11 students conducted themselves throughout the day. Their behaviour was exemplary and they represented themselves and the school brilliantly.
As they now turn their attention to their remaining exams and the next stage of their journey, we would like to thank them for the contribution they have made to our school community. They will be greatly missed, and we wish them every success for the future.

Huge congratulations to three of our Year 10 students — Harry, Ollie and Louis — who represented The Lenham School in the Kent Schools FA U15 Fletcher Trophy Final on 15 May 2026.
The boys played against Brighton and came away with a fantastic 2-1 victory. A special mention to Harry, who captained the side and scored the opening goal.
We are incredibly proud of Harry, Ollie and Louis for representing the school with such talent, teamwork and determination.
Well done, boys — a brilliant achievement! ⚽🏆

Huge congratulations to Selsey in Year 9, who competed at the Crystal Palace Summer Openings.
Although she didn’t place this time, Selsey was competing against mainly adults and older athletes, and she showed incredible determination, power and pride throughout.
She achieved two personal bests: 37kg in the sn**ch and 47kg in the clean and jerk, narrowly missing out on an amazing 50kg lift.
Having only been part of her weightlifting club for just over a year, this is a fantastic achievement. In true Selsey style, she took it all in her stride and didn’t make a big deal of what she had accomplished — but we certainly will!
Well done, Selsey. We are incredibly proud of you. 🏋️♀️👏

Opportunity at TLS:
We are always committed to creating new opportunities for students with our partnership and outreach work. Over the half term, four Y7 students (Oscar, Seb, Fehn and Fin), got the chance to represent the Pro Soccer Academy in Barcelona, finishing 4th overall in such a prestigious international tournament. The boys represented the school brilliantly: Fin captained the team, Seb was awarded best player and Fehn and Oscar finished joint top goalscorers.

I recently had the privilege of spending a truly special day at Buckingham Palace, celebrating the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Awards alongside the DofE’s 70th anniversary.
It was inspiring to meet so many remarkable people — explorers, adventurers, athletes and DofE ambassadors — as we celebrated everything this incredible community has achieved over the past 70 years.

Today’s INSET day has been focused on one of our key priorities for the year ahead: supporting students with their reading.
Staff have spent time exploring the most effective strategies to help students access texts, develop confidence, and strengthen the reading skills they need across every subject. Reading will continue to be a major focus for us as a school, and we are excited to build on this work in the coming year.
We look forward to welcoming students back tomorrow and seeing our Year 11 students continue their excellent efforts during the exam season.
A reminder for Year 11: there is always a reason to be in school. Our daily Exam Busters continue to run, giving students the chance to receive focused support before their exams.
We are proud of the commitment shown by both staff and students as we continue to work together to help every learner succeed.
