🎨 SUBJECT SPOTLIGHT: ART

Our celebration of subject successes continues with Art and another set of results of which we are extremely proud.

An impressive 81.8% of students achieved grade 4+ in GCSE Art, with more than half—51.5%—securing grade 5+.

These outcomes reflect the creativity, resilience and commitment of our students, alongside the skill, encouragement and dedication of our Art team.

Art at The Lenham School is about far more than the final grade. From developing technical skills and experimenting with new ideas to collaborative workshops and opportunities to exhibit their work, students are encouraged to express themselves, take creative risks and grow in confidence.

🌍 SUBJECT SPOTLIGHT: MODERN FOREIGN LANGUAGES 🇫🇷🇩🇪

As part of our series celebrating subject successes in this year’s GCSE results, we are delighted to begin with Modern Foreign Languages.

In French, 72.4% of students achieved grade 4+ and 44.8% achieved grade 5+. In German, 75% achieved grade 4+, with 54.2% securing grade 5+.

These strong outcomes reflect the determination of our students and the hard work and support of our MFL team.

At The Lenham School, learning a language is about much more than examination results. From engaging classroom learning and cultural competitions to trips and experiences that bring languages to life, the department continues to broaden horizons and open doors for our students.

🎉 RESULTS DAY 2026 – CONGRATULATIONS YEAR 11! 🎉

Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students at The Lenham School.

This year’s results reflect the determination and hard work of our students, with important improvements in English and mathematics alongside some excellent achievements across GCSE and vocational subjects.

Among the many individual successes:

⭐ Anya achieved an outstanding set of results, including three grade 8s and several grade 7s.

⭐ Matilda secured a grade 8 in Film Studies, grade 7s in English Language and Literature, and 7–7 in Combined Science.

⭐ Theo achieved grade 7s in Mathematics, English Language and English Literature, alongside a Distinction in Interactive Media.

⭐ Paige achieved a grade 8 in English Language, a grade 7 in Geography and a Distinction in Hospitality and Catering.

⭐ Erin secured a grade 8 in Drama, a grade 7 in English Language and a Distinction in Health and Social Care.

We are equally proud of the many students whose results represent remarkable personal progress, resilience and the overcoming of significant challenges. Every success has its own story behind it.

A huge thank you must also go to our dedicated staff and supportive families, whose encouragement and commitment have helped our students reach this important milestone.

🎓 Meet Ed.

Sometimes Sixth Form is about finding the thing that really clicks.

For Ed, that was photography.

After becoming PSA’s official photographer, Ed quickly found his niche — and turned it into something much bigger. He took on a leadership role capturing key moments across school life, developing his technical skills and even being trained to use the school drone to photograph major events from above, including our Remembrance Day celebration.

What started as an interest became a real responsibility — and a chance for Ed to build confidence, creativity and experience beyond the classroom.

His results reflect that success:

Next stop: UKC, where Ed will study Business and Finance.

🎓 Meet Mia.

For Mia, choosing Sixth Form started with something she absolutely loves: sport.

That made The Lenham School an obvious fit. Our National Diploma in Sport, equivalent to two A Levels, gave her the chance to immerse herself in the subject, while our PSA coaching programme provided even more opportunities to develop her skills and experience.

But Mia’s Sixth Form journey became about much more than sport.

A natural leader, she threw herself into Sixth Form life and took every opportunity to get involved, contribute and lead. Over the past two years, we have watched her grow into a confident young person who has made a real impact on our community.

And the results?

Next stop: UKC, where Mia will study Sport and Exercise Science.

🎓 Meet Bethany.

Bethany has always been a hardworking student — but in our Sixth Form, she has truly flourished.

Over the past two years, she has grown in confidence, developed into a standout leader and fully embraced everything that Sixth Form life has to offer.

Next stop: University of Plymouth, where Bethany will begin training to become a Primary Teacher.

Bethany’s journey is a brilliant example of what can happen when hard work is matched with the right support, opportunities and environment to grow.

🎓 Meet Ryan.

At the end of Year 11, Ryan had a decision to make.

He had done really well in his GCSEs and was considering leaving The Lenham School to join a local grammar school for Sixth Form.

In the end, he chose to stay.

Not because it was the easy option, but because he knew the teachers, trusted the support around him and was excited by what our Sixth Form could offer.

Two years later, that decision has paid off.

And in September, Ryan will head to Brunel University to study Banking & Finance.

⭐ James → Operating Department Practice at Canterbury Christ Church
⭐ Siana → Business Psychology at Bath Spa
⭐ Mia → Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Kent
⭐ Ed → Business & Marketing at the University of Kent
⭐ Danny → Software Engineering at the University of Kent
⭐ Freddie → Accounting Apprenticeship with Trinity Accounting Services, secured after his Year 12 work experience

And so many more students who have achieved success and opened doors for their future.

And the results speak for themselves:

But this is about more than grades.
