Our T-Birds are gearing up for their performance in Grease. Costumes have been sourced. Set is being built. Props are being made. 7th & 8th July at 7pm in the Main Hall at Maplesden Noakes School. Tickets are available on Wisepay only.
We are going cashless this year so please bring your cards if you want to purchase snacks or a programme. We are hoping you can join us for what is surely going to be an amazing spectacle of acting, dancing and singing!

June also observes Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. The month provides a platform to break the stigma, promote open conversations, and encourage early intervention and screening for mental health issues. The facts and figures presented here shows how crucial it is to defy outdated attitudes as speaking saves lives. Reaching out for support is not a weakness - but a sign of great courage.

As always we encourage you to please reach out and speak up about how you feel. Begin breaking the stigma in your corner of the world by being a shoulder to lean on and start conversations with your friends and family about mental health. Be kind to others and most importantly be kind to yourself!

Happy Pride Month! June celebrates LGBTQ+ identity, history and the fight for equality. Recognising the hardship and ongoing struggles for acceptance, while celebrating their contributions to culture, which advocates for authenticity, visibility, self-expression and most importantly human rights - No one should have to live with the fear of discrimination simply for existing.

To celebrate in school, we have an upcoming pride event, which will take place on the 1st of July 2026. The event will take place upstairs in C-Block across multiple classrooms. Each room will have their own theme for example; one room will be Just dance; another room will be fairground games and another room will be history and film. The event will take place over lunchtime and the invite is open to anyone that wishes to come along!

On the last week of term, 40 of our year 10 students went on a trip to Rome! Although there was lots of walking and the sun was shining, they powered through, walking around 30,000 steps just on one of the days and took in the incredible sights that Rome has to offer.

They saw many attractions including the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. They also found it very amusing to watch the head of year 10 take photos in landscape which in their words was "so millennial". They very quickly established the tradition of getting a well deserved ice cream after eating dinner each night too.🍦

On behalf of the staff on the trip we express our gratitude for how you conducted yourselves, how polite and how respectful you all were throughout the time away, nothing but compliments were shared! 🇮🇹
