At the end of last week, our Year 11 students took part in a careers workshop over the course of two days. We really enjoyed working with them and helping many undertake their first interview in the comfort of the school environment receiving constructive feedback on their performances.

Students had the chance to listen to three employers across different industries and ask questions about their roles and pathways into jobs. Over the course of two days, students were supported by over forty different employers of which nearly 240 interviews took place on Friday.

The feedback we received from the employers was absolutely outstanding, comments were shared about how impressed they were with the level of engagement from the students, their manners and how polite and respectful the students were at all times. Employers also noted how the composure and professionalism of the students was truly impeccable, many of the employers stated how they would have offered students a job had it been a real interview. - Well done Year 11!

Thank you to all of the employers for taking time to come in and help our students, we are so grateful, it has been invaluable to us.

Our Year 10 GCSE PE students spent the day leading cricket activities for SEND students as part of a partnership with Active Kent & Medway. From the very start, they showed incredible maturity, adapting drills, changing activities when needed and ensuring every participant could experience success and enjoyment.

It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as the day progressed, and they quickly learned that great coaching is about much more than simply delivering activities. It requires patience, creativity, resilience, and constant adaptation to meet the needs of every learner.

By the end of the day, many students commented on their newfound respect for teachers and coaches who do this all day, every day!

We couldn't be prouder of the way they represented the school and made such a positive impact on the students they worked with.
