What a night! Our cast did exceptionally well. They sang, danced and acted their socks off. We are so proud of every single one of them. The audience were very impressed with the calibre of talent we have and how well each student portrayed their role. It has been a wonderful journey and the Performing Arts department wish all of their performers a wonderful summer break at the end of next week! - Well done to you all!

Wow! What an opening night! Our students performed to a packed audience of family, friends and teachers. The best things is that we have to do it all over again tonight 😊

Please see the attached flyer for a parent/carer workshop taking place at Maplesden on Monday 6th July 2026 from 10am-12pm. The workshop is designed to support the preparation for the summer break, how to support your child or young person in preparing for change and developing their resiliency and managing the summer holidays positively. The session will be joined by Dr Miquela Walsh, our link educational psychologist and she will share information on factors and approaches that support and promote resilience.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 1st July we have our Maplesden pride event taking place at lunchtime in K-block, in rooms k7,k8 and k9 (on the middle floor). We have many activities taking place, there will be Just Dance, a games room as well as jewellery making too! It will be great fun and we really hope to see lots of you there, everyone is welcome!

Challenge Week Days From The History Department!

> London Dungeons, Monday 13th OR Tuesday 14th.
Be prepared to be scared - can you be the bravest out of your friendship group? London Dungeons trip - Monday 13th June , OR Tuesday 14th June - coach to London with your friends - we will also have lunch at Trafalgar square , then pop to National gallery for a little look at some art. £45.50 including entrance to London dungeons.

> Leeds Castle, Thursday 16th.
During the visit, students will have the opportunity to walk through the castle’s impressive interiors, which span over 900 years of history. Students will also explore the extensive grounds, including landscaped gardens, the bird of prey centre, the large maze and play areas. There is also an adventure golf course offered for an additional charge. We will leave school at approximately 9:00am and return by approx. 2:45pm. The cost will be £23 for the day.
