Leigh Academy Tree Tops made sure that our wonderful Year 6 Leavers had the send off that they all deserved!
As well as our traditional Treefest with face glitter, surprise gifts, a buffet, a karaoke, an inflatable obstacle course, a chill out area and more, we introduced a new event with our red carpet TAFTAS (The Awards For The Amazing Sixes!) evening where every student was presented with a unique award specific to their own skills and personality.

What a week of celebration! Good luck year 6! We will miss you!

Sensational primary results- Key Stage 2 results, 2026 (provisional)

On 16 July, Leigh Academies Trust (LAT) received their Key Stage 2 results for 2026 across fifteen primary academies. 85% of LAT pupils achieved the combined expected standard compared to the national average of 63%. All academies were well above the national average, which is a remarkable achievement.

It is clear that pupils continue to get off to a flying start in LAT primary academies and their results are testament to the exceptional work of our dedicated staff. It is no surprise that 75% of LAT primary academies were judged “Outstanding” by Ofsted under the old inspection framework and that Ofsted has awarded multiple “Exceptional” grades in the Trust’s two primary inspections since November 2025 under the new framework. This is far in excess of the proportion of primaries nationally to achieve such accolades.

Tree Tops are so lucky to have lots of shady areas for our children to keep cool in this hot weather. Despite the heat we have had a lovely day today. As well as relaxing our uniform rules and making sure we all kept drinking lots of water, our teachers have provided some great activities to keep the children calm and cool. We have been reading in the shade while we had a paddle and we even looked at ‘hot vocabulary’ and have written ‘hot sentences’. Lavender and Gino joined us in keeping hydrated too! We have kept blinds closed, windows open, fans going and we all had an ice lolly treat too!
