We are now running our award winning baby and child first aid class in the wonderful area of Tonbridge at the amazing Tonbridge Baptist Church 🙌🏻

This venue is absolutely perfect with FREE PARKING, ground floor access, baby changing facilities and plenty of SPACE for prams 👌🏻

✳️ Photo Shoot Day ✳️

SO excited to have Helen Sampson | Family & Brand Photographer Maidstone and Fay Hawkins with me today, whilst I delivered my baby and child first aid class.

Thank you to all my amazing volunteers, who were happy with a stop start version of how to carry out CPR on a baby and child and how to help them if they are choking.

We also covered burns - did you know 30 children a day are admitted to hospital with a burn, as a result of a hot drink being spilt on them?!

I asked everyone to come in workwear as I am soon launching my CORPORATE baby and child class across Kent.

TWO. We won TWO. 🏆🏆

Today, Benedict’s Law won both the Best Policy Initiative of the Year AND the Big Impact Award at the Third Sector Awards 2026.

I’m not quite sure we’ve taken that in yet.

Benedict’s Law started with the worst thing that could ever happen to our family. It started with one little boy, and a determination that what happened to him should never happen to another child.

And now his name is changing the way children with allergies are protected in schools across England.

To win Best Policy Initiative means so much. This has been years of evidence, campaigning, meetings, letters, policy, legislation and refusing to give up until change happened.

But the Big Impact Award feels particularly overwhelming. Because impact was always the point. Not recognition. Not awards. Change.

Change that reaches into classrooms and dining halls and playgrounds. Change that means staff know more, schools plan better and children are safer. Change that will reach millions of children for years to come.

There were 31 categories at today’s awards. Somehow, this tiny charity, created in Benedict’s name, is coming home with two of them.

None of this brings Benedict back. We would trade every award, every piece of legislation and everything we’ve achieved for one more day with him.

But if he can’t be here, then we will make absolutely certain that his life matters.

Check out these absolute legends that booked me for an adult awareness class this morning in Maidstone!

They just wanted to be prepared as none of them had completed first aid training in a long time and apart from George’s collar bone, none of them had EVER broken a bone - so impressed with that!

✳️

We practiced CPR on the floor, as ideally it needs to be done on a hard surface and they had all completed their homework of finding out where their nearest defib was 👌🏻

They described themselves as ‘besties for 20 years’ and they just wanted some re assurance that they’d know how to help each other, just incase.

Such a pleasure to train you and I left with a big smile, you were all great - I really do love my job so much!
