Poppy has had a fantastic time performing alongside Kerry Ingram ( Game of Thrones) in a performance of Bugsy Malone. Well done, Poppy. ☺️

Whilst three students have just started rehearsals with the English Youth Ballet, Inaya has just completed a residency with the National Youth Ballet and two performances of ' Echos of Tomorrow' in Birmingham. She will also be performing at Sadlers Wells on 5 September ( Inaya is dancing in a ballet piece called 'Concertino' and a contemporary number ' Utopia' in which she also dances a duet'). Good luck to everyone receiving their A Level results today!

Like dance, education is a journey filled with dedication, resilience and perseverance.

Today is just one chapter in your story, and whatever the outcome, your hard work matters.

We had five students successfully audition for the English Youth Ballet - unfortunately, two had to decline the offer. But we wish Lilly, Amber and Zara all the best as they commence rehearsals tomorrow. The performances of Giselle are on 28 and 29 August at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley. Do try and support them if you can.

The three students have also received bursaries from the Prima Rising Stars Fund - a fund set up by Tmactive to help talented students pursue opportunities such as this.

🩰✨ Young dancers from Maidstone and West Malling are preparing for the performance of a lifetime.

Thirteen talented dancers aged seven to 16 have earned places in the English Youth Ballet (EYB) production of Giselle after highly competitive auditions in April. 🌟 Seven train at D’Arcy Stage School, three at Prima Stage School, with the others from Hilton Hall Dance Academy, Michelle Sidwell Academy of Dance and Mepa Academy.

🎭 They’ll take to the stage alongside internationally acclaimed professional dancers at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley, on Friday and Saturday, August 28 and 29.

💃 Bella Saxty-Smith, 16, said: “One of the best feelings about being a dancer is stepping on stage and waiting for the music to start - a moment when the excitement takes over the pre-show nerves.”

👏 EYB principal Olivia Richards, who stars as Giselle, says the production’s “superb” sets and costumes will make it an experience the young dancers - and audiences - will never forget.

Chair Tap - Wednesdays, 10:45 am at Larkfield Leisure Centre . Starts back 2 September. No previous experience of tap dance required.
