12 of our talented ballet dancers attended the IDTA SE Classical Awards in East Grinstead yesterday and despite some big sections, our dancers did us proud and they enjoyed a very special day. We are delighted to say that Lila came first overall in class C ( grade 5). - an amazing result. In class B, grades 3 and 4), Lucy was a finalist and Ava received a commendation. And in class A, (grade 2) Lucy's sister, Madeleine, was also a finalist and Amelia received a commendation. This is such a special annual event and I was disappointed I couldn't attend but lovely to see all the photos. There's a video of senior dancer Emilie in the comments below.

BALLET for every age and every ability from first steps to advanced training. Our classes nurture confidence, musicality, coordination and creativity in a fun, supportive environment.

Our dancers progress through the foundations and progress through structured training, building strength, flexibility, artistry and self-discipline.

Talented dancers are encouraged to audition for prestigious associate courses - we currently have five attending Central School of Ballet Junior Associates and two mid- associates at the English National Ballet School.

So sad to hear this. Miss Yvonne Gout helped train me ( lots of trips to Bexhill on Sea)! She was always so welcoming and encouraging. She examined many students at Prima over the years and many people will remember her.

On 27 September, 13 Prima ballet students will be attending the South East Classical Awards - an event instigated by Miss Yvonne Gout several years ago..

She was a remarkable lady.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Yvonne Goût, former President, Chairperson and Director of the IDTA.

Yvonne made an immense contribution to the Association over many years through her dedication, commitment and passion for dance education. As a longstanding member and Chairperson of the Ballet Faculty, she played a pivotal role in shaping and developing the IDTA Ballet syllabus as it is known today, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to influence generations of teachers and dancers.

Yvonne's leadership, wisdom and unwavering support of the dance profession earned her the affection, gratitude and respect of colleagues, members and the wider dance community.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched through dance.
