Spangles Spanish Spangles mission is to teach Spanish to every one at a high level of excellence and professionalism.

Spangles has been successfully running Spanish courses for adults and children since 2005. Spangles Spanish interactive lessons for adults are focussed on conversation and culture. We put learning into practice with fun activities and real-life situations. For children the emphasis is on having fun learning Spanish. There is something very powerful about learning through play.
When children play games in the classroom, their natural desire to participate, succeed and have fun creates opportunities for language to be learned almost effortlessly. Games can help improve engagement, motivation and memory, while giving children the confidence to use new vocabulary in a natural way.

But perhaps most importantly, they enjoy the process of learning. And when children are having fun, they are often more willing to have a go, make mistakes and try again.

What a fantastic summer term!
We are so pleased and proud of all our students who joined us over the summer. It was a short but brave, productive and rewarding term, and it has been wonderful to see and hear your progress.

A little gift from Spangles Spanish! 🎁
As a gesture of kindness, Spangles Spanish is offering two FREE 12-week Spanish courses, each worth £140, for children aged 3–5 years old.

The classes will take place at Detling Village Hall, starting in September and running through to December 2026.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for little ones to discover Spanish through songs, games, stories, movement and play , and to take their first steps into a new language in a fun and friendly environment. ❤️🇪🇸

Congratulations to our GCSE Spanish students!
We are absolutely delighted to celebrate the fantastic GCSE Spanish results achieved by our students this year.

🇪🇸 Learning Spanish, one step at a time! 🎶

A big thank you to our Beginners students at Kings Hill for your hard work yesterday and for bringing such a wonderful spirit to the lesson!

We were practising the present tense of regular verbs and completing our work on verb conjugation and, as you can see from the video, learning Spanish doesn’t have to be serious all the time!

There was plenty of practice, a few challenges, and, most importantly, lots of laughter along the way.

Because when learning is enjoyable, we remember more, feel more confident, and look forward to coming back for more!

🎶 When music finds you in the street, in a little shop, or somewhere you least expect it… stop and listen. 🇪🇸🇲🇽

A beautiful voice, a few instruments, and a song with a story to tell.
Today, we are sharing “La Petenera”, a traditional song closely associated with the Huasteca region of Mexico, performed here in Santiago de Compostela by a wonderful group of Argentinian, Mexican and Spanish musicians.

Can you identify which Spanish tenses are used in the song?
And, more importantly…

What do you think the song is about?
We’ll be exploring the language, the grammar and the cultural meaning behind the song in our lessons.

Have you ever thought about learning Spanish but never quite found the right time to begin?

This summer, we are offering a short 6-week Spanish course, running from August to September 2026. Unlike our usual 11- or 12-week programmes, this course has been designed to give you the opportunity to experience learning Spanish in a relaxed and supportive environment, without a long-term commitment.

Learning a language is about much more than acquiring vocabulary and grammar. It is an opportunity to challenge yourself, keep your mind active, gain confidence, and discover a new way of connecting with people and cultures. Many adults also find that learning a language brings a real sense of achievement and enjoyment, regardless of age or previous experience.

Our lessons are highly conversational and focus on helping you use Spanish from the very beginning. You may be surprised at how much you can say after just a few weeks.

Whether you are learning for travel, personal interest, cognitive wellbeing, or simply because it is something you have always wanted to do, this could be the perfect opportunity to take that first step.
