Some of the activities our children have been enjoying this week

Activity of the week:
Exploring the properties of ice

The children have been enjoying our block play area this week.
We have observed all kinds of learning taking place.
Counting, using and naming shapes for a purpose in their play.
Creating narratives while constructing their visions and testing out their ideas.

The children have made the postbox ready for Xmas cards!

This week we are making fresh orange juice.
We are exploring with our senses and developing our fine motor skills in readiness for writing.
We are learning new vocabulary and developing our social skills.

We wish all our families a safe and happy summer, and Good luck to our leavers on their journey in to Primary School.
Thank you all for the lovely gifts and kind words....it means a lot to all of us.
Our leavers had a wonderful time with Captain Fantastic yesterday.

We hope you and your children are enjoying our lending library.
Aswell as story books, you can choose specific genres, related to life situations, books with songs and rhymes. Books for counting, colours and science.
If you have anything you would like added to our library, please let us know.

The purpose of providing Provocation activities....
At our setting children explore with natural resources, stimulating their senses, promoting their characteristics of learning while building skills in mathematics, science, creativity and fine motor skills, all through the art of play.

Will you be enjoying the fireworks this weekend? It’s an exciting time of year but can be very dangerous. So, please keep safety in mind.

Remember,
• If you can afford it, organised displays are much safer
• Only use fireworks that are suitable for the space you have
• Keep children at a safe distance from the display
• Sparklers burn at a very high temperature so need to be treated with caution. Wear gloves and keep it at arm’s length
• If clothing does catch fire remember to STOP, DROP and ROLL
