We are incredibly proud to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our Year 11 students at St Augustine Academy. 🎓👏

This year’s results show a massive improvement in both Maths and English, reflecting the hard work, determination and commitment of our students and staff. This follows on from the school’s excellent Ofsted inspection, which recognised the positive and inclusive culture at St Augustine Academy and the strong support provided to our pupils. 💙

A huge congratulations to every one of our students on their GCSE results. You have worked incredibly hard, and we hope you take the time to celebrate this wonderful achievement with your families and friends.

While our students are enjoying a well-deserved summer break, there is plenty happening behind the scenes as we continue to invest in the future of our Academy.

We're delighted to welcome our brand new St Augustine Academy minibus! 🎉

This fantastic addition will open up even more opportunities for our students, making it easier to travel to:
🏆 Sporting fixtures and competitions
🥾 Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions
🎓 Educational visits and enrichment opportunities
🤝 Community events and much more

The new minibus is another step forward in ensuring our students can access memorable experiences beyond the classroom, helping them to develop confidence, resilience and teamwork.

This is just one of several exciting improvements taking place over the summer as we prepare to welcome everyone back in September. We can't wait to share more updates with you over the coming weeks!

🌍 International Cultural Celebration Week 🌍

From 13th–17th July 2026, our school community came together to celebrate the many cultures, traditions and languages that make us unique.

Thank you to all of our students, staff and families who helped make the week such a fantastic celebration of diversity, inclusion and belonging. ❤️

🥐 What a fantastic day for our Year 8 students!

A select group of students enjoyed an immersive French experience at Frederic's, putting their language skills into practice while enjoying authentic French breakfast favourites, including delicious viennoiseries and croque-monsieurs. 🇫🇷

The adventure then continued around Maidstone with a museum treasure hunt, exploring everything from Prehistoric artefacts to Ancient Egyptian treasures, before taking to the streets to discover the history and hidden gems of their local town through a series of fun challenges.

A brilliant day of language learning, local history, teamwork and exploration – proving that learning doesn't just happen in the classroom! 👏

🌊☀️ More seaside memories from Herne Bay! 🦀🍦🎡

Following our Year 7 beach trip earlier in the week, it was the turn of our Year 8 and Year 9 students to enjoy two fantastic days at Herne Bay! 🌊💙

From crabbing at the Mill Pond Waters 🦀 and exploring the pier 🎡 to enjoying fish and chips 🍟🐟, arcade games 🎮, and plenty of ice cream 🍦 (with banana proving to be the flavour of the week! 🍌😋), there was something for everyone to enjoy.

There was no shortage of laughter either 😂, from friendly seaweed-throwing battles 🌿 on the beach 🏖️ to watching our Headteacher, Mr Ball, put his strength to the test on the arcade punch machine 🥊💪—much to everyone's amusement! 😄👏

Most importantly, the trips gave students and staff the opportunity to spend quality time together 🤝, creating wonderful memories 📸, enjoying the fresh sea air 🌬️, and celebrating another successful school year 🎉. Judging by the quieter coach journeys home 🚌😴, everyone certainly made the most of every minute!

A huge thank you to all the staff who made these trips possible 🙌 and to our fantastic Year 8 and Year 9 students for representing the school so brilliantly ⭐. What a wonderful way to round off the week! 🌊🦀🍦💙

Year 7 Herne Bay Beach Day 🌞🏖️

What a brilliant day our Year 7s had at their annual Herne Bay Beach Day!

The weather was absolutely ace — sunshine, blue skies, and a perfect seaside breeze. We set up camp on the beach and then did something wonderfully simple: we just watched the children be children.

There were football matches on the pebbles, crabbing adventures by the water, ice creams disappearing at record speed, and endless laughter echoing across the beach. The best part? Not a phone in sight. Just Year 7s enjoying the moment, running around, chatting, playing, and making memories with their friends.

The pier and amusements were, of course, a huge hit, with many pupils making a beeline for the arcade and seaside attractions. From beach games to sweet treats, the day had everything a proper British seaside trip should have.

All we can say now is this: Year 7 are going to sleep very well tonight! 😴🌊🍦⚽

A fantastic day, a fantastic group of students, and a wonderful reminder that sometimes the simplest days are the very best ones.
