Penenden Heath Pre-School

We would like to share a positive update with our families. From 1st September, Mrs Terry and Miss Goble will be swapping roles as part of a carefully planned leadership transition. Both will continue to work closely together, and the familiar care, routines and support our children and families know will remain unchanged. We are pleased to support this next step for both members of our team.

Today we say goodbye to our wonderful Mrs Hartridge 😢

To us, she has always been our very own Miss Honey – kind, caring, patient and endlessly supportive. Her calm nature, incredible organisation and genuine love for every child have made such a difference to so many families over the years.

Mrs Hartridge, thank you for everything you have done for our Pre-School. You will be greatly missed by the children, families and staff, but we know you'll continue to inspire everyone you meet in your next adventure.

We wish you all the happiness and success in the future. Once part of our Pre-School family, always part of our Pre-School family. 💛

Monday will be our last Forest School session for Term 6 and our first full year of Forest School completed ! 🌳 🍃

This term been filled with adventure and discovery. We’ve learned how to light and safely manage fires, used tools with growing skill and confidence, and experimented with dyeing fabrics using natural materials.

Over the year the children have developed an incredible understanding of the natural world. They’ve followed the changing moon phases, watched the remarkable metamorphosis of tadpoles into frogs and ladybirds as they emerged from their pupae, and have become wonderful guardians of our special little piece of woodland. They show great respect for nature, each other and the environment around them, thank you children.

Most of all, it has been a joy to watch every child grow in confidence, resilience, independence and curiosity. They have challenged themselves, supported one another and embraced every muddy, magical moment 🥰

A huge thank you to all of our families for your enthusiasm, encouragement and support throughout the year. It has helped make Forest School such a special place.

We can’t wait to see what adventures next year will bring! 🌿🍁🔥

A massive thank you for the incredible handmade Sports Day trophies you created. 🏆 The time, creativity, and care that went into making each one is truly appreciated, and they made our Sports Day even more special.

To make them even more meaningful, each child added their own finishing touches to their trophy, making every single one unique and something they can treasure with pride.

🎓 Pre-School Leavers Ceremony Reminder 🎓

A little reminder that our Leavers Ceremony for our children starting Primary School takes place this Friday at 1.30pm 💙

We are looking forward to giving our wonderful leavers the send-off they deserve. 🌟

🧸Tomorrow we will be celebrating National Teddy Bear Day, and the children are welcome to bring in their favourite teddy bear to join in the fun! 🧸

Please ensure that your child's teddy bear is clearly named so we can make sure it goes home with the right owner at the end of the day.

In the morning, we will be enjoying a special teddy bear picnic together in the garden, where we will sit in the shade and share stories, songs, and a snack with our cuddly friends.

We look forward to a lovely day of teddy bear fun!🧸🐻
