Sweden is going back to books and pencils in schools. Here's why that matters.
After going all-in on tablets and screens in classrooms, Sweden noticed something troubling: reading comprehension dropped. Attention spans shortened. Basic skills suffered.
So they changed course.
Now the Swedish government is funding physical textbooks again. Teachers are bringing back handwritten notes and actual encyclopedias. Tablets aren't banned—but they're no longer the star of the show.
The research backs it up: kids understand and retain information better when they read it on paper.
It's not anti-technology. It's pro-balance.
Maybe there's a lesson here for the rest of us. 📚

Teaching has never been — and never should be — one-size-fits-all.
Real impact happens when diverse teaching strengths meet diverse student needs.
This powerful visual captures the many essential roles educators play every day:

✨ The Caring Teacher → creates psychological safety
😂 The Funny Teacher → makes lessons unforgettable
📣 The Motivational Teacher → ignites self-belief
🤱 The Nurturing Teacher → gently supports growth through challenges
💻 The Tech-forward Teacher → prepares students for tomorrow
🎯 The Perfectionist Teacher → sets and raises the bar
🎨 The Creative Teacher → unlocks imagination and original thinking
🤝 The Mentor/Coach → shapes character and futures far beyond the classroom

- No single educator needs to embody every role.
- But every student deserves at least one teacher who truly sees them, stretches them, and believes in their potential.
- The real magic unfolds when schools celebrate and cultivate diversity of teaching styles — and when teachers confidently lean into their own unique superpowers.

To every educator reading this:

Your individual approach matters more than you may ever fully realize. Thank you for the difference you make — in your own powerful way.

THE SHARK STRATEGY IS MORE REAL THAN PEOPLE THINK

Most people drown in hesitation.
Sharks don’t.
They move, adapt, and strike — or they die.

Here’s why this hit me so hard today:

👉 Motion builds clarity.
If you’re stuck, it’s because you’re not moving. Every call, every email, every follow-up sharpens your direction.

👉 Hunger beats talent.
Complacency is the fastest way to lose momentum. Sharks hunt daily. So should you.

👉 Adaptation is survival.
Markets shift. Clients shift. Attention shifts. The people who win are the ones who adjust before everyone else notices.

👉 Precision matters.
Not every opportunity is your opportunity. Sharks don’t chase every fish — they go after the one that feeds them.

👉 Decisiveness closes deals.
You think too long, you lose. Period. Action creates outcomes.

The Shark Strategy isn’t about aggression.
It’s about intentional movement.
Relentless clarity.
And refusing to sit still while your goals drift away.

If you only follow one rule from this?
Move first. Think while moving. Adjust as you go.

What part of the Shark Strategy do you need to lean into this week?

If you want to grow in your career, here’s one skill you can’t ignore:

🎯 Leading across generations.
From Boomers to Gen Z, today’s workplace is more diverse than ever — not just in backgrounds, but in values, mindsets, and communication styles.

And here’s the truth:
One-size-fits-all leadership doesn’t work anymore.

Great leaders know how to:
🧠 Respect experience
⚡ Embrace fresh perspectives
🤝 Bridge gaps without picking sides

It’s not about playing favorites.
It’s about understanding what drives each generation — and creating a team culture where everyone feels seen, valued, and aligned.

If you’re leading a multigenerational team, ask yourself:

✅ Are you adapting your style, or expecting everyone to adapt to you?
✅ Are you encouraging collaboration across age groups, or letting silos grow?
✅ Are you leading with empathy — not just authority?

Because the teams that win aren’t just skilled —
They’re united by trust, respect, and shared purpose.

Let’s lead like it’s 2025 — not 1995.

THE COCKROACH's CHOICE

Three hungry cockroaches came to a farmer and asked him for food. He willingly offered them some bread and some cheese. They ate to satisfaction and saved food to take home to their families.

Upon leaving, the farmer told them,
"Listen roaches, instead of begging for food as you always do, why don't I offer you a job in my farm? We offer good pay, food, and protection for your families."

The cockroaches asked,
"What work do we have to do, and how much salary do we get?"

The farmer answered,
"There are four positions available in my farm, with each having a different pay. It's up to you to choose which of them you prefer! The worker whose job is to inform my chickens that food is ready gets paid $3,000 every month. The worker whose job is to peel and slice my garlic gets $5,000 monthly. The worker whose job is to chase pesky lizards out of the farm gets $4,000 every month. And lastly, the worker whose job is to sing and dance for my goats gets only $250 monthly. You can make your choice now!"

The first cockroach exclaimed,
"I choose the $5,000 job! I want to peel and slice your garlic!"

The second cockroach chorused,
"I want the $4,000 job! Let me chase the pesky lizards out of the farm!

The third cockroach thought for a long moment, then said surprisingly,
"I would prefer the $250 job! I want to sing and dance for your goats!"

For a moment, the two other cockroaches glared at her and thought she was very dumb.
"How could she have chosen the lowest paying job in the farm? Is she that silly and unreasonable?" they thought within themselves.

The following morning, the three cockroaches arrived for their first day of work. However, as they began their duties, the first and the second cockroaches died all of a sudden.

The curious farmer then called the third cockroach and asked,
"Tell me, why did you choose the lowest paying job?"

She took a deep breath and answered,
"Firstly, chickens favourite food is cockroaches- why would I choose a job where I have to go close to chickens? Secondly, the pungent smell of garlic can quickly kill a cockroach- why would I choose a job where I have to peel and slice garlic? Thirdly, lizards love to snack and prey on cockroaches- why would I choose a job where I have to chase lizards out of the farm? It's not about the money at all, it's about putting my life into consideration."

LESSON TO LEARN:
Be careful of the deals you accept from people. Don't jump into every offer made to you. Don't be so blinded by money and material things that you refuse to pause and carefully consider the ramifications before taking a decision. Be wise!

True Starts 💡

✅ If an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends.
✅ But if it breaks from within, life begins.

That hits deep, doesn’t it?

→ Real growth isn’t pushed; it’s awakened.
→ Pressure from the outside can break you.
→ Strength from within can transform you.

Whether it’s a mindset shift, a new career path, or healing from the past, Lasting change always starts on the inside.

So don’t wait for the world to change you.
Start becoming the version of you that changes your world.

Great things always begin from within.

What’s one internal shift you’re working on right now?

The image humorously yet powerfully captures a common organizational and personal pitfall: being so caught up in daily tasks that we ignore opportunities for meaningful improvement.

In the cartoon, two cavemen are struggling to push a cart with square wheels, clearly an inefficient design. Another caveman offers them round wheels, a clear upgrade. But instead of pausing to consider the better solution, they dismiss it with, “No thanks! We are too busy.”

This scenario mirrors real-world business environments, where teams and individuals are often under pressure to deliver, firefight and meet short-term goals. Ironically, this “busyness” leaves little room for stepping back and evaluating better processes, tools, or strategies that could save time and effort in the long run.

Key Lessons:
Work Smarter, Not Harder: Efficiency gains often come from stepping back and reassessing how we work.
Innovation Requires Space: Continuous improvement and innovation need time, attention and openness to change.
Busy ≠ Productive: Being constantly occupied doesn’t necessarily mean progress, especially if outdated methods are slowing things down.

Taking the time to invest in better tools, skills or systems can feel like a delay in the short term, but it’s often the smartest long-term move.
So next time you’re “too busy,” ask yourself: is there a round wheel I’m ignoring?

🌟 FAILURE: The Stepping Stones to Growth and Success 🌟 (Amazing Visual by James Bennett)

Failure is often seen as the end of the road, but this visual reminds us it’s just the beginning of the journey.

Each step in the process transforms failure into a powerful learning experience, leading to growth, resilience, and evolution. 🦋✨

Here’s how we can reframe failure into a growth mindset:

1️⃣ FACE IT: Acknowledge the failure.
💬 “What went wrong?” The hardest step is admitting something didn’t work. But facing failure head-on is where courage begins.

2️⃣ ACCEPT: Own the outcome without blame.
🛑 Stop running from it. Accepting failure isn’t about defeat; it’s about taking responsibility and setting the stage for improvement.

3️⃣ INVESTIGATE: Dive deep into the “why.”
🔍 What caused the failure? Look at the details, reflect, and gather insights. Every failure leaves clues for success.

4️⃣ LEARN: Absorb the lessons.
📖 Use failure as your personal textbook. Every setback holds wisdom to apply to your next attempt.

5️⃣ UNDERSTAND: Gain clarity.
💡 “What can I do differently?” Understanding isn’t just about knowing the cause—it’s about connecting the dots and seeing the bigger picture.

6️⃣ REALIGN: Adjust your direction.
📌 When things go off course, take the opportunity to refine your strategy. Failure is simply a guidepost pointing you toward something better.

7️⃣ EVOLVE: Transform and rise stronger.
🦋 Every failure is a step closer to your goals. Evolve into a more resilient, adaptable version of yourself, ready to tackle new challenges.

✨ Why failure is essential ✨
Failure isn’t the opposite of success—it’s the foundation of it. 🌱 Every successful person has faced failure and used it to fuel their journey.

Thomas Edison famously said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

💬 Your Turn:
How do you handle failure? Do you let it stop you or use it as a springboard for growth? Let’s share stories of how failure has shaped us into who we are today. Drop your thoughts in the comments below! ⬇️

Remember, failure is just another word for progress. 💪✨
