Last week, 24 of our Year 9 and Year 10 students had the incredible opportunity to travel to Barcelona on a football tour.
The boys played three competitive fixtures against a local Spanish club and an American touring side, producing some fantastic football and finishing the tour with an unbeaten record, winning all three matches.
The highlight of the trip was a professional coaching session at RCD Espanyol's training ground, where both the academy and first team train. The students experienced a professional football environment firsthand and were coached by Espanyol academy coaches. It was a fantastic opportunity and one that will hopefully stay with them for many years to come.
Off the pitch, the students enjoyed exploring Barcelona's city centre, experiencing the local culture, and taking in the sights. The trip also included a visit to the iconic Camp Nou, home of FC Barcelona, giving everyone the chance to experience one of football's most famous stadiums.
It was a fantastic week of football, learning, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. Well done to all the players for representing the school with such enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and pride. We hope this tour has inspired them both on and off the pitch.
